Hey bobaudio, here's a version for you:

Play with the quantization to taste. Mostly GM drum mapping with exceptions: hi-hat accents are played with both F# and G# notes (i.e. closed+foot) and ghost-hits on the snare are on C#, which is a crossover/rim on some Soundfonts. You'll also have to tweak velocities to your soundset, but it should be fairly obvious where the accents are.

I chop up ".wav" files all the time, but what do people do with ".mid's"?

If you have midi data, then you can assign any drum sounds you want. Midi is also very easy to manipulate and small in size comparatively.
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

Weird, i always just programmed a beat in Fruityloops and reason and changed the samples in the channels if i wanted different drum sounds.
