There's so many butthurt people here it's funny. Do we all want this synth? YES. Do we all run 32bit vsts like cavemen? NO.
The dude said he's trying to see if he can make a 64bit version so let's all just chill out and wait. Meanwhile, I just bought Arturia's Pigment 2 for $99 bucks from musiciansfriend. Hell of a deal and it comes with 1081 presets. I highly recommend it. Let's move on and wait for Mr.Oz to catch up to the future.

Thank you for the moment of entertainment. It has inspired me to re-read some Lovecraft.vurt wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2020 2:13 amtbh, it was just off the top of my head

as to lovecraft, ha! as if im anywhere close, a mere shadow of a parody if anything
plus im a lover, not a writer
Here is a tiny excerpt from "A Shadow Over Innsmouth":
H.P. Lovecraft wrote:... There was much more than I could remember, but even what I did remember each morning would be enough to stamp me as a madman or a genius if ever I dared write it down. Some frightful influence, I felt, was seeking gradually to drag me out of the sane world of wholesome life into unnamable abysses of blackness and alienage; and the process told heavily on me. My health and appearance grew steadily worse, till finally I was forced to give up my position and adopt the static, secluded life of an invalid. Some odd nervous affliction had me in its grip, and I found myself at times almost unable to shut my eyes.
...
Y'ha-nthlei was not destroyed when the upper-earth men shot death into the sea. It was hurt, but not destroyed. The Deep Ones could never be destroyed, even though the paleogean magic of the forgotten Old Ones might sometimes check them. For the present they would rest; but some day, if they remembered, they would rise again for the tribute Great Cthulhu craved. It would be a city greater than Innsmouth next time. ...

Because he started to work on it a long time ago. I think it was eight years ago or something.yobare wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2020 8:10 am (Mr Meee) Flowstone, in other hand... due to ruby and how stuff works visually this days, thats why i asked and since flowstone its only 32 bit... it makes sense.
Flowstone are 32/64 and VST3 now.
Depends on if you have contact with myco.
And when its released as 32/64 bit i will buy it for sure.
So i wonder why ummet made this with synth edit when he can do it with flowstone and also make VS3 reziseable to.

that picture he shows in the video, that spectacular mess of wires and modules is certainly not from the project where he is doing the synth, he probably did all that mess when he was just showing that modules capture.Teksonik wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2020 1:41 amI don't know anything about Synth Edit or Flowstone all I know is what I've read here. If you think "the dude used a screen of SE in the video to explain how modules work, it doesn't necessarily mean that image is representative of how the project looks like" then I don't know what to tell you. Look at the complexity of the project at about the 2:38 point in the video. Do you think he did all that twice ?Mr_meee wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2020 12:42 am Teksonic you have made patches for most synthesizers around so you know pretty much the most sucedded Synthedit projects, and certainly you never seen anything like this in terms of interface comming from SE...
This is from Page 11..........
No one would be cappable of organizing a project in the middle of a mess like that... it wouldn't be healthy
And yes, i do believe he ported and redeveloped the DSP structure of Genesis CMI made in SynthEdit v1.1 to Flowstone and now used the Flowstone amazing graphical cappabilities to make a very sophisticated interface.

Good call, let’s see and wait. Only 1 month (give or take few days) to release day though.SiloCybin wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2020 4:33 am There's so many butthurt people here it's funny. Do we all want this synth? YES. Do we all run 32bit vsts like cavemen? NO.

Not sure if he can pull it of (64-bit) reaching the dateline, Hope he can...
Btw; Pigments are dope, got it as well, one of the best plugs out there.

I am sorry but why do you insist its made with FlowStone? Just because you havent seen or havent been able to make that GUI yourself in SynthEdit, doesnt mean no one else can. Just because you cannot handle so many modules or wires doesnt mean no one else can. Why on earth would he connect so many shit in SynthEdit just to show it in the video? It doesnt make any sense. Its clear he has showed 8 years of hard work in the video with the modules. If he would have done it in FlowStone he would have showed that in the video. Anyway, its 100% made with SynthEdit, it will be 32 bit, its for certain, all things point to that, even the developer said (but I guess you didnt bother to read it), so thats the end of the story, no need to spread false information.Mr_meee wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2020 9:52 am that picture he shows in the video, that spectacular mess of wires and modules is certainly not from the project where he is doing the synth, he probably did all that mess when he was just showing that modules capture.

Or... he wanted to fit it all on one screen.Mr_meee wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2020 9:52 am that picture he shows in the video, that spectacular mess of wires and modules is certainly not from the project where he is doing the synth, he probably did all that mess when he was just showing that modules capture.
I think it's obvious that noone would be able to work that way.

I think ordering a built-in Jbridge is the only realistic way to do this, but you can always use Jbridge yourslef.Atlatnesiti wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2020 10:22 am Not sure if he can pull it of (64-bit) reaching the dateline, Hope he can...

I don't know what to tell you. The evidence in right in front of you from the 2:38 mark of the video. "This is the program where I created the Genesis in". "After 8 years we have hundreds of thousands of connections".Mr_meee wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2020 9:52 am that picture he shows in the video, that spectacular mess of wires and modules is certainly not from the project where he is doing the synth, he probably did all that mess when he was just showing that modules capture.
What you're saying is he created hundreds of thousands of connections in Synth Edit then the same hundreds of thousands of connections in Flowstone. Does that even make sense ?

Ok believe what you want. Your opinion is not backed up by the evidence or common sense. But we'll wait and see.Mr_meee wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2020 9:52 amAnd yes, i do believe he ported and redeveloped the DSP structure of Genesis CMI made in SynthEdit v1.1 to Flowstone and now used the Flowstone amazing graphical cappabilities to make a very sophisticated interface.
Once again Ummet himself said.....
Synth Edit or Flowstone either way it's going to be 32 bit at least at release and most likely quite some time into the future so we either buy it or we don't. I'll pick it up since I have 32 bit capable DAWs even though it would be the only 32 bit plugin I'd have installed. Do I hope some day it's updated to modern specs ? Yes of course not only for end users but so Ummet can tap the entire market. I think he's leaving a ton of money on the table but....it is what it is....NextGen wrote: Sun Feb 09, 2020 7:06 pm To answer one of the most frequently asked question whether the Genesis is 32 or 64 bit, it's unfortunately 32bit and It's windows only. I know, I would have seen it differently as well. But the project has become so huge and complex over time that it is not easy to port it to 64bit/mac. Having that said it's not impossible and I am checking all the possibilities.
I started this project 8 years ago with my passion for sound, synthesis and with the ambition to share my creation, my knowledge with as many people as possible.

I'm going over to the Pigment thread and say that it's too expensive and I will buy the Genesis Pro on March 12th instead.

Maybe Behringer would be interested in doing a hardware version ? They certainly have the manufacturing facilities.
