Plug'n'Script VST3 MIDI issues in Bitwig

I'm trying to write a simple MIDI FX script using the Plug'n'Script demo. The code is reported as working, but it has no MIDI output in Bitwig as VST3 plugin. I've tried the built-in midi_log.cxx script, and it has the same issue. VST2 version works perfectly fine.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Hi,
I am not sure if Bitwig actually supports MIDI output for VST3 (it is only available in a recent update of the VST3 SDK and not all hosts actually implement it). It could explain why only the VST2 version works fine.

Ah, OK then! Good to know. thanks for the prompt reply!
currently debating with myself if i should buy plug'n'script... on the one hand, ReaJS can do similar things and is free... on the other, i spent ten minutes writing a plugin with PnS (as opposed to two hours with ReaJS) because the language is just that much more familiar! choices, choices...
