Neon skin with dark background

On the bottom is my old post, in which I asked about a Neon skin with dark graph backgrounds. Now I found out what to change in the MTexturedStyleEditor! I want to share the skin, since I really like the Neon skin, but I think that the graphs are way too bright. Here it is:

Installation Windows:
Extract the mstyle-files to
C:\ProgramData\MeldaProduction\MTexturedStyles

Installation Mac:
Extract the mstyle-files to
HD/library/application support/Meldaproduction/MTexturedStyles

The mpresets file are the color setting presets and can be imported into any melda plugin under
"settings":
Settings > Style > preset button > Import

Maybe someone will find it useful as well as I do. Maybe Vojtech will even embed it to the factory skins some day?


What I initially changed in the editor was just: Display > Image > Normal and there I maxed the value for Change color to main 1 to 255. This already did the trick. I guess it won't work, if the main color 1 was not a dark one (I guess it is the value on the page Global style settings > Colors > Main color 1).

I like the Neon skin, but I also really like the FModernDark skin, since the graphs have a dark background there. Please compare these two screenshots with the exact same graph settings:

Sure: I should change the graph settings for the brighter background and it would still work, no question! Still: the dark background is much more easy for the eyes to look at. Especially when using the analyzer on my whole secondary screen (so it's a huge bright area I have to look at).


So my question: did somebody already just tried to alter the Neon skin to be the same, BUT with a dark background in the graphs?

Looks a lot better than the bright background. +1 for adding a dark neon theme to the factory themes.

I have only a small idea after trying. The pure black for the top bar is a bit difficult, because on dark backgrounds the window isn't well visible. Not every host has an extra chrome around the plugin. I lose the window due to this sometimes.

I think it's because it's a 100% uniform and flat one coloured area in the topbar. A little gradient or shadow or contrast border could help for betterplugin window separation to the background. It's the same problem as in the original NEON by the way.

Hm, I never thought about trying to improve such things as well, hehe. I will look into it and see if I might be able to improve something. No promis ... moreover I consider myself to not have the best graphic feeling, haha.

I am not sure if this is what you meant, but feel free to check out v1.1 of the skin. I also attached a changelog to make my thread look more professional.


Edit:
I changed the caption button color a bit so that the preset button will be better visible, IMO. I tried to make it still fit to the overall color theme, but I am not sure, if it becomes more amateurish now, though.
