I've been using mux for a good while now and have Mux 7 and Mux 8. I want to keep Mux 7 since I've used it in a lot of tracks and I'm scared to overwrite it when I install 8 in case there any issues.
Just wanted suggestions if I want to keep both or if if you guys have overwritten the previous version and haven't had any issues. One option is I could rename the new version to distinguish it.
Just wanted to get some thoughts.
Mux Install Question

To ensure yourself about your precious MUX 7 based projects, make a good backup of them in their MUX 7 state. Then install MUX 8 and use it as your one and only MUX install (thus replacing MUX 7) and give it a good test run to ensure yourself of its solidity. Then continue using MUX 8. Now in the unexpected case there would be an unresolvable issue with MUX 8 you still have that MUX 7 based backup.

Personally, with my own install of MUX (and 4 major Mulab versions too), I've never had any problems upgrading patches. Sometimes there are slight changes (most obvious being filters, compression, and distortion) from major versions but it's not to the degree that the sound/timbre is completely different.

Thanks yea I've never had any problems with Mulab or Mux but I have had problems with some other plugins where I lost a particular sound after upgrading and I had forgotten to save it
