How to edit preset-button color in MTextureStyleEditor? [solved]

Hey folks,

hopefully some of you can help me (or even Vojtech?). In my Dark Neon skin I'd like to "fix" the preset button as well, to make it slightly more visible. Same problem exists in the original Neon Skin: the preset button has almost the same color as the titlebar, which makes me click it sooo often, when I just want to move a window.

So: can this BG color be changed in MTextureStyleEditor individually and if so: where?

I think it will be in Caption Button > Image > Normal. But you may need to change the caption bar colour too.

Hey DarkStar, thank you so much. This was it! It also changes the other caption buttons, of course, but I already guessed that somethink like this will happen, hehe. I think it still works ok in my "Dark Neon" theme now. Thanks again!

(A bit late, but ....)
This will get you started:
-- copy "Caption Button > Image > Clicked" to "Caption Button > Image > Normal"'
-- change Invert Contents to "Not inverted"'
-- in "Caption Button > Image", change hlalpha to 100.



You can adjust the colours / alpha levels as you wish.

Ah, interesting to know, thank you again! I find a solution without your above mentioned method already, since I did not want to make it too colored anyway, hehe (see my Dark Neon thread v1.2).

In "Caption Button > Image > Normal"' turn down "Change colour to Main 3" to 128. That will make the buttons less tinted and more grey.

TIP: when you save presets in the Style Editor, create a sub-folder for the Style (and version) and start the preset name with the path on the component browser. Saving the above could be CBIN_tomain3_128 or CBIN_grey.
