Hi,
I have these two interfaces, the Gina is a PCI and the 2i4 is USB. The 2i4 is a lot newer but I'm wondering if there's any reason to think that one interface would be preferred over the other? 10 years ago I would say that PCI is better than USB. On the other hand, Echo hasn't made drivers since Win8, so that's an issue.
thanks
Echo Audio Gina3G or Focusrite Scarlett 2i4?

Silly answer, but you have them both, so you can compare:
* available IO
* DAC quality
* driver stability
* control panel features
* usable on next laptop
* anything I forgot

I decided it was too risky to see how well the Gina would play with new hardware and windows 10, so I didn’t try to find a motherboard with a legacy PCI slot. I don’t even know if it’s possible to get a motherboard with pci anymore...
