You can ctrl+a to select multiple rows then enable/disable them all together.

There's a fix for plugin windows on Ubuntu coming in the next release, hopefully over the next day or two.

Chiming in to say I haven't had the best results with plugin sandboxing. While I can't point to any specific problems, it increases lag when adding a plugin, when opening a plugin, and when altering plugin controls. It seems to be generalized to most of the plugins I tried. I'll see if the next update improves this.
Linux version?

Hehe, that didn't work for me due "red" (disabled) plugins. Thanks.

The main place we've seen additional overhead is with plugins with large numbers of parameters. Does this sound consistent with what you're seeing or does this lag also happen with lower number of parameters?

Post

Yeah that's probably the case. I'll do a comparison when I get the chance.
Linux version?

Cheers. We might need to add some optimisation for those cases. Having some specific examples we can test with will be useful.

I've only used it an hour or so - mostly with a hardware synth plus some plugins. As of now, I'd say the whole app crashes more often due to a plugin than the previous beta (both with the sandbox enabled), but

1) no more disappearing plugins or plugins that appear where they shouldn't
2) Waveform recovers from a crash due to a plugin faster than ever

Post

What plugin is it? I can't think of anything obvious that would be less-stable than the last version...
Is it the whole app that crashes or does the plugin bring down the sandbox and it can be restarted?

Post

I’ll have to pay attention to which plugin :-). It’s generally never the same one that crashes things.

Unlike in the previous beta, the whole program is crashing and restarting, not just the sandbox - or at least that’s what it looks like (it looks different than the previous beta, it looks like waveform 10 when it crashes due to plugins).

I’ll continue to use, and note which plugin(s) cause the crashing.

Post

I've played with 18-th beta and no good news for me. GUI hangs on some plugins completely (as it was before) and no way to escape without killing WF, then deleting problem .so file. I was very hoped that sandbox will help kill and just rerun stuck VST.
I still think that this deadlock in Tracktion engine can be elaborated.

I suppose that you're tired of my moaning on this)

Post

Works fine on Windows 10 64 bit.

Post

On Windows works well, at least no more deadlock with Drumgizmo. Not on Linux :(

Post

Can I just clarify if (a) it's just sandboxing that is currently an issue and (b) it's mainly only problematic on Linux and (c) what version of Linux is this?

Post

Demo songs won't download on the latest beta in macOS 10.15.3. The process hangs in the background task manager at 4%.
