Seems to work ok for me. What demo song are you trying to download?
Could it be a macOS security thing that's stopping it from downloading?

Post

I don't think it's just sandboxing. I've been running it without sandboxing and I've been getting a lot of crashes that the app credits to Kontakt. The funny thing is, in most cases Kontakt has been in the background or muted. Flattening clips, rendering tracks, on other plugins results in the crash blamed on Kontakt.
Linux version?

"Static Observer"

It probably is a security block of some kind.

Is it just Kontakt that's causing problems?
I've been trying to get Kontakt to crash on Windows recently but it seems pretty stable.

Do you have the "Send crashes" option enabled from the "Maintenance" settings page?
If so, we check those logs for info about crashes and try and fix them where possible. Sometimes we need for information to replicate things though.

I'm consistently getting crashes when rendering tracks, and when there is a "this plugin caused the crash, restart" dialog box it either blames Kontakt or Kazrog amp sims. Which...I just realized I have both of them in Racks. So I'm thinking the problem is with Racks.

Edit: Removing racks fixes any crashes. It's a good short term solution but I often use drum libraries in Kontakt and use Racks to create multi outs, so this could be an issue down the line.

dRowAudio wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2020 4:27 pm Can I just clarify if (a) it's just sandboxing that is currently an issue and (b) it's mainly only problematic on Linux and (c) what version of Linux is this?
a) both, sandboxed and bare run
b) yes, but see below
c) openSUSE Tumbleweed, Ubuntu 18.04

hanging plugins
http://www.mucoder.net/en/hypercyclic/
https://github.com/DISTRHO/DISTRHO-Port ... /drumsynth (binaries available in KXStudio repo, If You want to try)

and they wasn't tested on Windows, so at least I'll check the hypercyclic soon

I said good Windows/bad Linux situation because of the Drumgizmo. It was a problem in both platforms. My mistake I test it on Linux with above-mentioned plugins.
But now it seems that Drumgizmo work as it has to be on Win and Lin. This is great, really.

Thanks for the extra info on this. I think I've found the crash rendering plugins inside Racks and should be fixed in 11.0.20.

Minor Bug?
Forward And Rewind, don't seem to be working in the actions bar, when assigned to a button.
Standard short cuts / transport / curser Left & Right.
cheers

Yeah, unfortunately shortcuts that require knowing the state of a key press won't work in the quick actions bar. It can only be used for single trigger actions.

Forward/rewind are pretty much the only shortcuts that need this extra info though and as they already have buttons on the transport they probably don't need quick action bar support?

Might be worth removing them as an option in the assign menu then?
Thanks for reply

What is the intended use of the Arranger Track compared to the Marker Track? I've always used the Marker track as a sort of arranger so I'm wondering how it is different.

Post

You can copy/move whole sections of the edit with the arranger track.
Linux version?

Post

But what's the use of the marker track, when you have the arranger track? Can it do something the arranger track can't?

Post

Mark things you don't necessarily want to move. I've started using the marker track for notes or larger sections of a song, and the arranger section for smaller riffs/bits that I might want to move around.
