Would be great if someone could help me with this.. I'm not at my laptop today to just play around.
Could I use MSoundfactory easy enough with all my Bitwig modulators? The parameters don't automatically show up in Bitwig like with other plugins (which is understandable being modular) but Bitwig is so powerful and I am really used to setting up complex modulations for other synths with it.. would it be a hassle to use with MSF? I don't think I could buy a synth now without an easy way to use Bitwig modulator on it.
I love MTurbo Reverb.. after testing it I think I have to buy it one day.. I guess you can't route audio into MSF? Could you build a reverb like turboreverb in it or is that way out of the scope of MSF?
I admit I loved the sound of MSF but I was struggling to get my head around the possibilities so set it aside but I am tempted with this intro price.. the plan was to just get MTurboreverb as I want to support Melda as use all the free plugins but I feel it might be an exciting rabbit hole to go down getting MSF.
Is it a beast to really learn? I love the way Bitwig Grid is set out but I found the Melda sound a bit weirder and more interesting somehow..

MTurboReverb is available within MSF, so there is no need to 'build' it.
I am not a Bitwig user so I am not familiar with its modulation capabilities. On that same note, I'm not certain that you are fully familiar with MSF's modulation capabilities; I think that they may even surpass most DAW modulations.

I would hugely recommend you get MSF. It is an absolute beast and you will get so much fun from constantly discovering new possibilities with it.
As for Bitwig integration. In MSF there are 256 MPs (multiparameters) these are like macros. Bitwig will be able to modulate and automate these MPs. In MSF you can link the MPs to almost any parameter! Set the ranges and name them etc. It only takes a second to add the parameter to a MP, and yes, unfortunately it is an extra step, however it is a small price to pay due to the number of modulatable parameters there are.
No sound goes into MSF, it's an instrument only. However it has a sampler, so you could load your sounds into it to process them that way.
Almost all Melda plugins are built into the FX section of MSF, which is a big deal! It's like over 100 plugins (including MTurboReverb)
More modules are planned including some cool spectral stuff, granular, more filters. It will be constantly growing. So yes, getting it now at the intro price would be a good investment.

Cheers for the replies, really helpful.. that is good to know I do have the option to use Bitwig modulators if I found I needed them. Yes, using a sampler in MSF would be fine to use all the fx if no audio in. I don't think I can resist and will go for it!

Thanks for the info jmg8. I bought it and got about an hours play with it.
I had a few happy accidents even in that time but will start spending a lot of hours learning it. I used hardware for 20 years and I feel things like this, Bitwig and Avenger synth are the equal to and probably surpass hardware for me now.. probably loads more but I tried all the usual suspects and for me these got me interested to start exploring them straight away. I'm looking forward to making strange sounds with MSF!

If you haven't already....try this....
Use a per-voice LFO and set it to "follow note frequency" then try modulating things with it.
It's like FM, but if you modulate an OSC's transform you can get some really cool sounds.
Change the transform mode and try different octaves in the LFO.

I haven't really tried anything yet on purpose! Still a bit mind boggling at the minute, I think I am slow to work out how to use new kit but I will try that asap. I love FM and have an SY77 that I still thinks sounds slightly better than any software FM unfortunately but maybe MSF is the one to defeat it!

Totally off topic but there is one reverb sound I made on my SY77 that sounds like clanging metal - I spent literally a full day last week with MTurboReverb trying to emulate it as I would get rid of my SY77 if I could work it out but any software reverb I tried always sounds too 'soft' or not sharp enough.. MTurboReverb was the closest and obviously is much better in many other ways but always when I think of going fully in the box I play that one sound and I am like wow that sounds like some alien clanging metal and it is wonderful.

In MTR, try using ringer mode for the early reflections and then make late reflections take input from early. That gets the metallic sound and the taps in the early reflections generator will change the character.

Tried them suggestions.. really good thanks, just been getting some nice metallic reverbs.. I'm loving it so far, a day with the manual today and lots of coffee.
