Can other people use morph OK?
It just locks up MSF in Bitwig for me and then I cant get any sound out of it without closing MSF and reopening it.
This is even when Bitwig meter shows almost no CPU load. I have been stacking loads of FX and modulating everything today with no problem but with morph the graphics go slow and it stops outputting sound just morphing between 2 quite simple sounds.

I am really enjoying MSF apart from this and not really a big deal but would be nice to morph sounds I think!

I will test tomorrow morning. In the meantime, try using the reset button (top right) instead of closing and reopening.

Have you tried it in another daw to see if it works there? There are many free options you can find here but due to its small size and unobstructed try out period Reaper would be an easy host to use as a test case.

Cheers. If it is no hassle for you to check that would be great and I could try Reaper or something tomorrow.

No worries at all (it's part of my job  )
If I can recreate it, I'll get it logged with Vojtech.

I tested it for you and it works perfectly here (in latest version of Bitwig)
Are you using the latest version of Bitwig and Melda?
Also are you Windows or Mac and are you using 32bit, 64bit, VST2 or VST3 etc.

Great cheers. Yes, latest Bitwig and Melda.
It is windows 10 64bit using VST3.
My laptop is i7-6280hq with 28gb ram and it seems to run MSF no problem.. the graphics card is a Nvidia 1000m
Just seemed strange I was making complex patches ok but 2 simple sounds morphed and the graphics were lagging and sound stops completely. I will test some more when at my music room later thanks.

Please also try a reinstall of Melda.

Hi I reinstalled MSF and just tried it with Reaper and it works fine with Reaper but still doesn't like Bitwig at all.
I did this on my older laptop installing Reaper but with Bitwig it is it exactly the same on both laptops - sound goes off as soon as you move morph and graphics and cursor can become unresponsive and sometimes MSF reset button doesn't even get sound back.

I am using latest Bitwig full version on both laptops. Would be nice to get it going as seems a really powerful feature but not the end of the world.

We will get it working, don't worry.
Can you please also check VST2?

Do you mean the Morph module as an Fx in MSF? (VST2.4 edition of the MSF plug-in)

If so, then both Reaper and Bitwig are working OK here.
DarkStar, ... Interesting, if true

Yes that's right, thanks.
It seems it is working for the rest of us. So I suggest please could you send a simple Bitwig project and MSF settings to info@meldaproduction and we will take a look.
You can get the MSF setting by holding CTRL and clicking the copy button (bottom right) this will generate a file to attach to the email. Cheers.

May I ask if you're a melda employee?

It is the ABCD Morph in toolbar to morph between 4 sounds that locks up in Bitwig for me.. ok will do that thanks.

Post

Oh, hang on wait. I wasn't testing this! Haha. I don't think Darkstar was either. We were both checking the morph module in the FX modular.
OK I will test the ABCD morph.
