Non, you can untick every harmony, I did it yesterday.
Please don’t read the above post. It’s a stupid one. Simply pass.

Ah i wish samples were normalized, volume is all over the place , i hope he will fix that before attempting to release soundbanks.
I started making some patches

Pet hate of mine installers not giving you the option of where to install then distributing their contents all over your hard drive.

Yeah I'd love to move the content to other locations also, it's certainly a reason why I would remove the synth, because I need my space on my startup SSD.

Kudos to Ozcam, the sound design is super !!! Very inspiring and retro dance sounds ! Love it

Hi guys,

I figured out how to run Genesis Pro in 64-bit-only DAW without any crackles!!!

Instead of using jBridge, use this app TBridge (introduced in this topic viewtopic.php?f=22&t=541622), which is based on NetVST and built recently. Currently the default language is Chinese and it has bugs in changing language to English, but by seeing the tutorials on it's official site I was able to figure out working with it. I just started using it on Waveform 11 (64-bit) which does not have native bridging. I loaded Genesis Pro through TBridge and everything worked perfectly (except license error etc. which y'all know).

I have not tried yet closing and saving, so don't know if it's be able to save the plugin parameters. Also, couldn't figure out how to sync tempo to the host DAW.

Does anybody have a copy of the instruction manual? I just want to look at the features at a glance.

Post

has anyone figured out how to tune the oscillators with cents independent from each other?

for me all i had to do was this:
jbridge settings > performance mode (ignore warning)

then it worked without crackles.

You can use the NetVST tools without TBridge. As far as I can tell, all TBridge adds is a Chinese-language interface and a simple VST browser. It's basically a kind of wrapper around NetVSTHost.exe, which is the actual networked VST host.

Performance is indeed less crackly than with jBridge, but I wasn't satisfied I was hearing NO crackles, though, so I just did some detailed experiments and determined that the few crackles I was hearing actually come from Genesis Pro itself. Its sample-playback engine appears to produce occasional discontinuities, either because of poorly-chosen loop points or perhaps bad code. Putting an oscilloscope on the output also shows frequent hard clipping in some patches, but this may be intentional, i.e. part of the sound design.

I'm the developer behind NetVST, but I haven't touched it for quite some time, as I'm busy working on a product called Unify (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=535636). A future version of Unify will have NetVST-based networking built-in, and will, I hope, address many of NetVST's limitations.

The NetVST tools are very basic. They don't support saving plug-in state, host automation, or even sample rates other than 44.1 kHz. When I wrote the NetVST code, I didn't know nearly as much about audio programming as I do now. On the plus side, NetVST does allow you to access Windows-only VSTs across a LAN, even from a Mac.

I'm playing with Genesis on a fairly older model pc windows 10 (i7 4790k ) with antelope discrete 8 @64 samples, using jbridge
( latest version 1.75 ) with performance mode enabled actually in Unify and have absolutely no pops and clicks whatsoever going on here.Jbridge does have some tweaks users can attempt to try to get it smoother. :tu:

Ok. Tried it and Genesis is now working properly. Thanks.
But problem is that everytime I load the plugin it gives an error saying the DAW is not running with administrator privillages. (Although the plugin works properly, but don't know if it gives any error in future)

Also is there any way to remove the box at the bottom where jBridge version and Settings button etc. are shown? Not a big problem but I want to see clean Genesis as it is and to feel at least that I'm running 64-bit Genesis Pro.
