I have a question. How do you put custom samples (a.k.a."ROMs") into GenesisPro? Also, what formats do they need to be? Been searching around the net but still haven't found an answer to this. Looks like it doesn't even come with a manual lol. Really good synth for the price, though.

On PC they need to go into one of the 'Custom Roms x' folders in this directory

C:\Program Files (x86)\GenesisPro\Roms

I used .sf2 soundfonts. Not sure about what other sort of soundfonts work.

You didn't search well enough then :) A couple of pages back there is a short discussion about the ROM files. They are .sf2 files renamed to .gen. You can find them in C:\Program Files (x86)\GenesisPro\Roms.

EDIT: I'm late as always :dog: :D

When one likes to run 64 bit plugins one should stop buying 32 bit plugins.
anybody who "likes" to run 64 bit plugins because they are 64 bit can't be a very interesting person.
It's not about "liking". I want to use it in Tracktion Waveform which is 64-bit with no native bridging support. All I want is to run Genesis as it is. If this DAW would have supported 32-bit plugins as well, I wouldn't have even think about jBridge and stuff like that.

Thanks a lot, guys. Very much appreciated! :). Working on a free pack of "Dark Techno" type sounds, and I definitely want to include a couple new roms with it.

How do we make a soundfont?

Post

cumbersome way is to do it in free polyphone software
Also please guys when making new patfches use velocity, most genesis patches dont use velocity to control the amp or filter.
Its in general section, velocity amp and filter, i think all patches have them off :dog:
It means youre playin sounds in the same way those siilver casio keys do, without velocity response, cheap as hell.

I think this thing needs one global button to turn off/on all fx

Not much point in troubleshooting this disaster so called pro VST.
Why don’t you guys get Pigments from Arturia, that offers so much, much more?
Mind boggling

If Pigments was $1 or €1 then Genesis Pro would not exist  ... just a thought...

Because it costs 199 times more?
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

haters, got anything better to do than chime in on this threat?

and it must be a threat (sic) if you can't stay away from the topic.

I'm merely enthusiastic about the concept of a plugin, but some of you guys are all up on Ummet like you were jilted.

At this time, it's the way it is. I however can see (in 4-D) that with the right amount of interest and enthusiasm that this plugin could evolve like every other piece of software that isn't given up on does.
