I wanted the samples on my sample drive so I created a folder there named MSoundFactory.
In 'MSF> SETTINGS> SAMPLER> Root' I set the path to my created folder.
I downloaded Monastery_Grand.mproduct to desktop.
I did the install from within MSF, which involved pointing to the mproduct file on desktop.
The samples were extracted to the path I had defined.
It all went OK.
The mproduct file on desktop could now be deleted (just like a zip file install).

I LOVE that you can so easily swap in new samples, too, taking advantage of the very cool processing, esp. in the Creative version—Thanks again!:)

The mind boggles. Bear in mind that a preset dialed up may well be using more than one sampler. The one I'm looking at now has two, TONAL and NOISE, renamed I guess from the default 'Sampler'.

Yup, loving that feature, too:) Especially since I loaded some earlier Sampler experiments as Presets so it's a single click to Load any of these into both samplers and there's a whole new instrument, based on lots of previous work, instantly loaded, now with the Creative version's resonators and the Soft/Hard controls, etc.

Oops, sorry, I guess this is still in beta, but it's promised soon as a free MSF instrument from Vojtech.

Definitely a cool collection of samples, but even better, IMO, is the two devices it comes with designed to allow lots of uniquely MSF sorts of adjustments to the sound. Since you can easily swap in any other samples or saved sampler presets, it highlights how coolly versatile any such future sampler "environment" devices anybody else creates will be, given the modular ease with which you can easily use them on any other sounds, including any other oscillators, or even any other generator grids we've saved and can one-click load into a modular in place of either of the sampler modules—Mind boggles, indeed:).

Very cool. I haven't gotten around to learning about synthesis, so I'm a preset guy, for now.
And it looks like many more great sounding instruments are coming, which can be tweaked
by users who don't have deep knowledge of sound design. I'm sure looking forward to this!

So I assume you made it work, right? You always need to select the sample root as the installer asks you to do

, I assume that was the problem.

As for sampler environment - well, you can of course. You can do anything here

. Anyways this is basically the first (I assume) big sampled instrument, which serves also as a proof of concept. And you can do whatever you want with it

. I think the piano deserves some punishment!
