Waveform 11: directly EQing clips not working? Known bug?

(Note: I clicked through the anchored post about Waveform plugin issues but didn't find this issue. My apologies if i missed it.)
Anyone else having trouble in Waveform 11 getting EQ to work when its attached directly to a clip? Attaching another plugin (i tried reverb) to a clip works fine, but EQ on a clip doesn't appear to affect the sound one bit, no matter how extreme I make it. I went back and tried with Tracktion 7 and it works fine.
I also tried a few 3rd party EQs to see if it was just that one factory plugin, and none of the 3rd party EQs work either...when attached to a clip. In Waveform 11. T7 works fine.
Sidenote: EQing a track in Waveform 11 also works fine, but obviously sometimes (for me its most times) you need to be able to put the EQ directly on clips and have it work.

[ Linux ] I can confirm this is indeed a bug. It seems the 4-band eq is unresponsive when directly using the GUI, but the effect will work if you use the knobs in the 'Parameter' tab.
I have found that moving the frequency of the Low shelf band directly in the GUI updates all other bands for some strange reason tho.

I tried to replicate this but can't seem to.
If I do the following:
- Create a new Edit
- Add an audio clip
- Drag the "4-Band Equaliser" to the clip
- Loop around the clip and press play
- Double click to open the EQ window
- Drag any of the points around
-> The audio sounds like the EQ is being applied and adjusted in line with my visual changes
Are you trying to do anything else with this?

so when i have a clip i want to put an effect on, like EQ, i click on the little FX symbol on the clip itself, and navigate to the "4 band equaliser" (or other plugin), select it, then hover over the bottom-left corner of the clip, click on the gear, and then start either dragging points around in the EQ window, or turning knobs in the parameter tab.dRowAudio wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2020 2:53 pm I tried to replicate this but can't seem to.

UPDATE: so after replying, i tried your method (dragging that grey plus symbol in the top right of the interface over to the clip instead of clicking the FX icon on the clip), and that actually seems to work, so that's at least good for now...still would be ideal to have that other method working right, but hey, i'll take whatever works, so thanks!

Sweet! Also, not to overload you, but im just now noticing the majority of my third party plugins that worked perfectly in T7 have messed-up GUIs in Waveform 11. So far, I can just control most of them well enough in the parameters tab, but im sure it can turn into more than an annoyance depending on the user and plugin.dRowAudio wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2020 6:32 pm Ok, thanks I can see the problem. I'll get this fixed for the next version.

Do you have any specific ones I can try? Preferably ones that are small downloads, have free trials and don't require complex authorisation like iLok?jonatello wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2020 7:18 pmSweet! I'll also need to know what OS you're using and which plugin formats present the problem.

If this is on Windows, have you tried toggling the "Enabled DPI Awareness" setting from the plugin window options button (top left).
It might be that the plugins you listed just don't support High DPI or per-monitor scaling very well.
