Hi,
I'm a waveform free newbee.
I made a MIDI controller mapping (Automation->MIDI Controller Mapping) which assigns about 30 controller to a softsynth and saved it in an edit.
I find no way to replicate that controller setup to a new project. It only works if copying to new edits within same project.
Tried 'save edit as template', 'export as archive', 'backup edit and project files' and 'Create Archive' + Import material with no luck. That brings back the edit and all clips, but not the controller assignments.
Any hints?
Btw. what are the supposed ways to
a) copy just one edit to a new project
b) copy whole project to new one
EDIT: After doing some copies/backups etc the controller assignments now disappeared in the original edit as well, ups...
Thanks!
Copy MIDI Controller Mappings over to new Project

You might be able to do what you're trying to do under Settings / Control Surfaces / Create New Control Surface, map that to an input device (your controller), then Edit Control Mappings, and add either Plugin Automatable Parameters, or Plugin / Quick Control Parameters to the mapping.
That should persist across projects and edits.
That should persist across projects and edits.

Thanks chico. With Custom control surfaces and Plugin Automatable Parameter I can assign up to 32 parameters but I can't specify which one's - it's just the first 32 parameters of the plugins parameter list (the parameters I'm interested in are on rank 52, 78 or 120,...)

Assign them to quick control parameters, assign those to the controller ...
