Hi everybody!
Could you please tell me what type of sound is used for playing chords in this video? I dont mean clarinet but that "keyboard" sound in the start. Could you recommend me some good VST wich can give me this type of sound? Thank you

Sounds kind like a vibraphone or bells, and for that there are plenty of options - sample libraries or many synth presets. Imho whole track is made from different orchestral instruments (like pizzicato strings etc).

The high bell sound or the midrange keys? I think you mean the latter while the replies are focusing on the xylophone.

The first couple seconds really remind me a lot of Portishead. If that was looped with Beth's vocals it would be exactly them.

My guess at everything would be a small string section all playing pizzicato, a vibraphone, and an oboe.
The string section is in a very low register, so perhaps it’s a double bass and a pair of cellos?

I think it is celesta (bell like sound). Vibraphone have more decay. And it not play a chord it plays two tones (some interval as arpegio I think). And the playing another instrumenst as above written. Pizzicato of string section (bass, cellos).

Pianoteq might be overkill, but has a nice celesta
Should be possible to find a celesta soundfont or other sample format

Effected piano. Clarinet. Pizzicato cellos. Palm-muted accoustic guitar.
It ain't no xylophone.

Now that I listen to it again, it does sound like a single reed rather than a double reed, so it's likely to be a clarinet.Googly Smythe wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 3:12 pm Effected piano. Clarinet. Pizzicato cellos. Palm-muted accoustic guitar.

However, I'm not sure that's a piano of any kind - still sounds like vibes to me.
