I bought a 1 year update on christmas and I really hope there's something that appeals to me in 3.2 else I will wait for the activation. For what I need 3.1 is nearly a complete package.

Yes indeed.SLiC wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2020 4:08 pmThat's the great thing about the Bigwig Upgrade Plan, you don't have to pay 1¢ until you see something you like- until then, keep enjoying V3!JHernandez wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2020 3:36 pm I'm going to stay on 3.0.3 (my plan is still active) until I see some useful audio/MIDI/workflow improvements/upgrades/features for speed. If not, then it's business concluded. As far as I'm concerned anything else will amount to needless time consuming distractions. I don't care if they turn heads, I'm not a cheerleader and I have no stock in the company.
That's my 2¢ that Bitwig won't be getting if they don't![]()
Bitwig is almost there for me too. It's so close. Now if they could just finish baking the cake before the icing. (grid, tuning)

Would love to see actual MIDI integration out of the grid. That Polarity preset proves it can be done. It would be great to have an integrated solution rather than a chain of devices (like how we all used an assembled vocoder until the real one finally showed up). I'm sure its on the way.

I like to believe the people behind Bitwig would like features themselves if they also are DAW-users and more into our genre-thingie, but what do i know. :p
Polarity does not look unhappy with Bitwig, like a fish in water, peas n carrots.

In SchmajjL'ish?
I just ment like Bitwig is more EDM-oriented, if someone make a DAW like Bitwig with this kind of flow, routing, modularity, then my guess is based on that, but hey, all kinds of music is welcome.

I figure more experimental, not so much strictly dance music/club music. Unless you're into dancing all crazy like to some Grid noisesSmajjL wrote: Fri Apr 03, 2020 6:49 pm In SchmajjL'ish?I just ment like Bitwig is more EDM-oriented, if someone make a DAW like Bitwig with this kind of flow, routing, modularity, then my guess is based on that, but hey, all kinds of music is welcome.

If they mess around with the GPU again, I hope it won't be a repeat of the last time they messed around with the GPU. All I got when I got past the splash screen on macOS, was a grey screenkrixa wrote: Fri Apr 03, 2020 6:54 pm Hoping for:

Unless you're into dancing all crazy like to some Grid noisesor something like that, which some people might do I guess, but anything can be done really. Then again, I see people dancing to death metal so it can be thought of like that. Like Hardcore Keem sometimes does in some of his videos Dude trips me out. It's funny to see someone dance all booty style to death metal.

They need to fix a lot of their UI/UX quirks. Like the way warp marker work, the whole audio events system The Piano Roll needs some serious love, they need stretch midi. The issue @ BufoBufo mentioned is one of those weird decisions that make absolutely no sense. I don't really know of any other DAW that works that way. I'm not even sure why it works that way to begin with it's just stupid.
Mixer view let us resize the mixer channels please. Better controller support. I don't want to rely on a 3rd party who may or may not lose interest in your controller of choice.

I would be happy if they gave us the ability to stretch audio clips straight on the timeline by dragging the clip edge.
Also I think the meters are pretty bad in Bitwig. It's hard to tell whenever something is clipping since they go from green to orange to... Orange? I find it much easier in eg. Ableton to get a clear visual of the levels.

I am still not even done with the last update just a month ago. Space, Time, Color had hundreds of new FX....not only is that a lot of new rack fx to play with, as they are grid you can take them apart and see how they work!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!
