Well yes, of course. You are correct, the AD/DA is indeed a big part of the sound of this era of digital processing. But it is not "analogue fat sound" that we associate with "phat".. But you are correct. The Eventide H3000 plugin doesn't sound at it's core like the hardware box. There is indeed a layer of emulation missing. Hope they revisit at some point.

. But I think the underlying algorithms are not bad, my issue is the way the plugin is implemented I think there are both usability and design issues.
