Hey, that's my (only electric) guitar! Mine has a dark brown burst finish and is 30 years old, though. I think I bought it because it looked vaguely like something I'd seen in the hands of Johnny Marr and a neighbour was selling it second hand for about € 350. It's stood me in good stead. Never bothered to change anything except removing the fingerboard and replacing a couple of cracked pot knobs. Good luck with yours (if you end up buying it)!

Try to find an old Japanese one. I had a Japanese Sheraton from the 80's and it was one of the best guitars I've ever owned, as was the Epiphone Elitist (Made in Japan) Casino I had recently.
Also, in Europe, you have access to a lot of great FGN guitars that we can't get in the US. FGN is Fujigen, the factory that made a lot of the great Japanese Epiphones.

Well, my wife had a wobbly at the suggestion of a new guitar. Even though my 60th birthday is around the corner, no new guitar for Bombadil. Damn Armageddon!

She is also on a first name basis with my entire collection. It was her idea to name them, partly to keep tabs on them, I guess.
No, not even one. 17 is just not cutting it for me these days.
Anyways, it's just anxiety making me want, want, want. No point in buying a guitar that 'isn't as good as the one I really want.' Which is the Yamaha SA2200. Which is not cheap.

I played an SA2200 at NAMM. It was exquisite and you would not be satisfied by any Epiphone that isn’t made in Japan. Keep an eye out for an Epiphone Elitist Dot 335, those have relatively low resale value for some reason but are the same quality as the SA2200.Bombadil wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 2:00 pm She is also on a first name basis with my entire collection. Female. My acoustics have a 'Women From Arthurian Legend' theme. Others are just names that are female, but plays on the brand or model.

I had a co-worker with a huge (and growing) doll collection.
I don't suppose your wife would fancy dressing up your guitars in cute little clothes? Might get her on board
