Hi everyone
10th april 2020 i receive sms that someone charged a 10450 russian roubles (equal to 129 eur) from my credit card. When i opened transaction history i saw - 2CO.com*bitwig.com AMSTERDAM NLD.
I was very confused, because i didnt order anything(
Seems like BITWIG automaticly charged 129 euro for upgrade plan, but what if i alredy dont use BITWIG? or maybe i sold it? I thought that the one who decides what to buy or not to buy is ME, not BITWIG. What is i need this money right now, because i lost my job because of coronavirus and upgrade plan was not in my wishlist?
Well i still have not receive any e-mails with conformation of any purchase!!!!!
It is very sad situation and i really dont know what to do. I wrote 2 tickets and no responce from BITWIG.
I feel robbed by a respectable company......

Looks more that your credit card info is stolen.
There's an option to Auto Renew in Bitwigs webshop that you can tick. But since 129 euro is a discounted price I don't think its a automatic renewal which would be 159 euro.
Bitwig isn't located in Amsterdam.

Order processed by 2Checkout, authorized reseller and merchant of the products and services offered within this store. Avangate BV dba 2Checkout | De Cuserstraat 93, 1st floor, 101 office, 1081 CN, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Transaction looks legitimate to me, its more likely you accidently ticked the auto renew option if there is one (I have never personally seen that myself as I have never bought an update from the Bitwig site as they are always cheaper on other sites like JJR)
Bitwig didn't steal your money if you had inadvertently ticked auto renew, and if you haven't used the code I am sure you will get your money back- try 2Checkout rather than bitwig as that is probably who needs to issue the refund.

I wish every DAW would store credit card information, for convenience.
And health data too, so it could tell me when to take an amen break, or when I overheat because of too much analog warmth from my Diva demo.

That's a tricky one - I renewed last week (using the offer) and there was an auto renew option given to me, which I deselected (of course) but looking at my Bitwig account there is no option for me to turn auto renew back on again, or off if I had forgotten to do that at the time, so it would be easy for someone to forget they had selected it and there doesn't seem to be any visible way for people to change their minds or even check if they still have it on.SLiC wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 8:58 amTransaction looks legitimate to me, its more likely you accidently ticked the auto renew option if there is one (I have never personally seen that myself as I have never bought an update from the Bitwig site as they are always cheaper on other sites like JJR)

So Bitwig has answered me. Yes, it was auto-renew and yes - this is BITWIG charged money from card.
Now incident is over and they will make refund, BUT anyway i have i few question
IS THAT GODDAM LEGAL???? so ok, it was auto-renew, but early a worked in Cubase and always bought new upgrades ONLY IF I WANTED TO!!!!
I don't have a habit to save my card information on internet and i didn't remember, that i saved it on Bitwig webshop. Now i have to go to my bank and re-issue my card!!!!!! Because i don't want this history again.
Please BITWIG team, think about disable this function because it cause unpleasant situations

It's probably legal, but it's really annoying. Companies often do this, I assume because they want people to forget that it's going to auto-renew and they will 'help' people make the decision to upgrade.

It was simply your mistake if you thought selecting 'auto-renew' was optional future payments?!Evgeny_M wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 1:57 pm So Bitwig has answered me. Yes, it was auto-renew and yes - this is BITWIG charged money from card.

Because you made a mistake should that option be disabled for everyone else? No, I have 'auto-renew' on may things I consider critical/necessary and I know how to cancel them should I ever need to.
You may want to change the thread title now as its incorrect and a bit inflammatory

It's NOT selected by default, but I agree the option to enable/disable it should simply be in user account and not with some 3rd party payment processoraMUSEd wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 1:18 pmThat's a tricky one - I renewed last week (using the offer) and there was an auto renew option given to me, which I deselected (of course) but looking at my Bitwig account there is no option for me to turn auto renew back on again, or off if I had forgotten to do that at the time, so it would be easy for someone to forget they had selected it and there doesn't seem to be any visible way for people to change their minds or even check if they still have it on.

Because you can make it not being one? You know - by paying attention and thinking.
