Brand new to waveform and hooked it up on my xr18. Got everything working except the output designation. If I use the band template I can select different outputs for each track and it plays and is routed perfect. But if I start my own project from scratch it will only play through 1 output (whichever default output selected in settings) . What am I not doing correctly?

You can allocate track outputs via the Properties Panel. This is the lower middle bit (though you need not to have the lower sections minimised). The Properties Panel shows the properties of whatever is highlighted. IIRC, output destinations is top of the third column for tracks. You'll have to do it track by track. I don't know all the details of the XR18, but if there are more outputs than just a stereo pair, it sounds like creating your own output template would be a good idea.

Thankyou! I have changed each output exactly the way you have represented but even though you can see it, it seems still to use the the default. But again, only in a new project. Demo projects it works fine even while its playing.

Just remembered... Under Audio Devices on the Settings page, you should have Audio device type set to ASIO. If your XR18 doesn't have ASIO drivers, I think most people use ASIO4ALL, which is a free download you can Google, and if you have it set to ASIO4ALL it should sort your problem.
