Ah ok, I may revert back to v2.5.6 then. If that's the case. I thought 2.5.9 would work better, so no added benefits to working with 2.5.9?
Also, would it be possible to contact you at some point on another medium for help so I don't divert this thread's topic?
Happy to pay for your time.

Hi JakeJ
About Updates in Maize Read this
https://www.maizesoft.com/cms/?cat=10
for me it's V2.5.6 or v2.5.7 with the theme Color Fix!
v2.5.9 is the same except it Does not Have the 32 Bit Binaries for Older Systems
like Windows 7 32 bit with older DAWs like Cubase 5
or Snow Leopard 10.6 32 bit with the older Logic 9
but almost all users are up to 64 bit
you may ask your Customers in a survey to see if they still need 32 Bit
P.S.
Xiang told me he Updated the Juice Framework
and he will be Sending me a New Version to Test
Coming Soon v2.7.0

Thanks Musik Man! I will take a look into this then, probably favouring 2.5.8 in this case.
Also great news about Xiang updating the Framework! Do you mean Maize Framework?
Whats version 2.7.0 likely to have/resolve? And do you think its something we will all have access to soon? Not sure if I should hold out on making my next plugin just in case?
P.S thanks for the email I will also contact you there soon!
Truly appreciate you Musik Man!

Hi JajeJ v2.5.8 is 64 bit Only like v2.5.9
about v2.7 Xiang told me he will Update the "Juice Framework"
Maize is Built with "Juice" so it will update the Maize App
it's Supposed to be More Compatible with all systems
i do not know if there will be other changes
i'm waiting for the Pre-Release to Test it
but for now i'll Stick to v2.5.6 or v2.5.7

Hi Sample Science
i'm Presently Building an Oberom Installer Package For you
"to Show You that it works"
i did 7 Installers for DopeSONIX and they All Work
ask Him?
you Probably missed some things here are some things to Check Out
you Need to Change the "Unique Plugin ID" before Creating the Installer
Because The Plugins are Already "Black Listed" By Catalina
write a script to remove the previous versions of the plugins
install a the Dummy Loader
in this installer there is a script to Uninstall the Previous Versions of The Plugins
there is a Dummy Loader in the Plugins to Speed up the Validation
Symbolic Links inside the Plug-Ins Point to:
Library/Application Support/ SampleScience /Oberom /*.mse
P.S. you can't count on the end user to remove the previous Plug-Ins
and just Writing over the Previous one does not work!
this is why there is a Pre-flight Script in this installer it will uninstall all the files related to the instrument
this is the right Way to Proceed!
Here it is:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/b354xqgnb32zb ... g.zip?dl=0
Send it to any user that say's it does not work and you will see it will work Now!

It's my last message in this thread:
1. What you need to understand is large scale distribution*, you're installer might work on a small scale distribution, but it doesn't work well at a larger scale. That's when the problems occur . Meanwhile, the shared Maize Sampler Player works 100% of the time on a large scale distribution, and that what's counts because.
*What I mean by large scale distribution is a few hundred downloads per day. A workaround can only go so far before problems arise and that's what my experiments show.
2. My mac mini died, I can't create any mac installers anyways. There's no way I'm going to give Apple more money. Especially in the current economic situation. This means that I can't test your installers anymore. I wish I could but I can't.
That being said, I really hope your solution works at some point for you and others. But keep in mind that the shared Maize Sample Player is important to others. It's especially important to me who doesn't own a mac anymore and who doesn't want to mess with it anymore.
In the meantime, I'm going to migrate to other development platforms as BeatMaker_xyz did.
Bye

Hi i Tried to Help You Out thinking you knew a lot more about mac
all the installers i created for my plugins and for DopeSONIX works 100%
i never had a problem with any of my customers
i sent you a Project for you to build but i forgot the Preflight Script!
and as i understood you never build an installer for mac before!
creating your installer with this project could not work!
you need to have a Preflight Script this is the way to go!
Xiang emailed me about an upcoming Version v2.7 he will send it to me to Test
so why don't you at least send the .dmg installer i sent you
to some of your customers that had problems it does not cost you anything to try
and about the Shared Player it will be Removed with v2.7 we will go Back to the Previous Player
just trust me for this last Time!

For what its worth...
With a HUGE amount of help from Musik Man we now have our entire range of VST's compatible with Catalina with an easy install process for the end users. Easier than the old method of manually placing the components and VST files into the relevant folders on the MAC.
Even if the shared player works you will still encounter problems with MAC's as the files are not notarized/authorized etc with Apple. You will still have to go through the Apple dev process, xcode hassle etc etc...
Anyway..good luck with whatever the method you use...we are all small devs and Apple just make things so hard so you all get my full support...peace

Hi Musik Man!
Any news in regards to 2.7.0? Hows it's working out?
Also, It's been a while since I exported anything out but I'm noticing when exporting on version 2.5.6 for the plug-in type: VST for MAC (2&3) its exporting the file as (untitled.vst3.vst) file extension, do I just need to remove the extension .vst3 for the vst version and on another file remove the .Vst for the VST3 version?
P.S.
I noticed the maize website is down as of the time writing this (Error establishing a database connection) I know you have a good connection with the developer so not sure if they are aware of this.
