I will send some patches, but I can't really make any until crashing from ModMatrix assignments is sorted out. Some of the other bugs I can work around for now, but that one I'm not going to fight with.TheWaveWarden wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 12:31 pmHmm no I don't know about any glitches - any particular situations when they happen, or just at random? Feel free to send me a wavefile with any glitches in it. Maybe it can provide some more insight. You can find all contact info on www.thewavewarden.com/bugvincenzoml wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 11:28 am But it glitches a bit every now and then (I thought those were buffer overruns but checked and they aren't). Do you know already or what detail can I provide?Odin 2 is and will be free once released. I'll probably open source it at some point too.vincenzoml wrote: Thu Apr 16, 2020 11:28 am
Also: is this plugin free, or do you plan to set a price after the beta testing? What's a reasonable estimate? I like the plugin a lot since it's very easy to produce good sounds with it.
No it's kind of the point of this open beta as well to collect as many user-patches as possible and release them as a preset pack. So far I received..... 1 patch![]()

I just uploaded Version 2.0.15 beta. This update should fix most of the freezes you were experiencing.
Changelog:
- fixed a deadlock when assigning modsources in some hosts
- fixed a deadlock when loading synth in some hosts
- removed a lot of linux-dependencies, which caused problems in some hosts
- adjusted behaviour of ADSR as modulation targets
As always, you'll find it on www.thewavewarden.com/odin2

Global LFO and global env still crashes host.
New project, insert new FX track w/Odin2
try to assign either global to first Source in matrix, get a brief spinning waiting mouse pointer and Reaper crashes.
Win10 x64, Reaper 6.XX x64, i5-3330, 8gb ram, GTX-970, UC-33, Panorama P4, Wharfedale Diamond 8.2 and JVC HA-RX700

I really like this. I think when everything is ironed out it will be a go-to bread and butter synth for a lot of people
I've only been trying it for ten minutes. The only think I've found (in FLStudio 20.6) is the pingpong button doesn't work, the delay is mono regardless - I presume it's meant to be stereo

I've heard the pingpong delay quite often now, and I think it boils down to how you think a pingpong should work: After the amp-section, the signal is stereo inside odin. Pingpong will crossfeedback the delay lines between left and right channel. What this fundamentally means is, if you didn't move the pan right or left, you are cross-feeding two identical channels, hence you think it is mono.
I am happy for explanations how this should be implemented differently, since a lot of people seem to expect different behaviour.

I tried to reproduce this on 3 different machines - no luck so far.
I'm setting up an email inquiring more information to all users who experience this issues. If you sent me a bug report with your email adress this will include you as well!

It does a "soft retrigger" - meaning it won't start the attack from zero but from the current value.onerob wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:30 pm Maybe the Legato button could avoid retriggering the filter envelope? Or have that as an optional mode?
You want it to not retrigger at all?

Just got around to installing it, very nice synth, I like it already. I only have had less than an hour playing around with it but so far no crashes or weirdness. I am running Reaper 6.08 x64 on Win10.
It always is awesome to see a synth basically just appear out of "nowhere" (but not nowhere to the devs, though, who have put in all the hard work behind the scenes for however long) and then on top of it, have it sound pretty damn good. A lot of potential and options for sound making right out of the gate. Was making cool sounds, at least to me, pretty quickly. Nice oscs and filters. I could see this having a nice spot in the rotation.
Good job, and thank you for this generous synth.

I see what you mean. Having re-tested, it's the amp envelope that I'd like to (optionally?) behave in the same way as the filter envelope.TheWaveWarden wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:58 pmIt does a "soft retrigger" - meaning it won't start the attack from zero but from the current value.onerob wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:30 pm Maybe the Legato button could avoid retriggering the filter envelope? EDIT: Still testing. It might well be OK.
