I think we have it already. The thing is that the controller had to show the chain itself. Because if the clip is playing you probably don't want to have your drum machine blinking like a machine gun. I have to look into it further.JHernandez wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 4:16 pmNow the Drum Machine needs that MIDI follow option that Live has and it will be set. That little feature is so useful. Hit pad/key on controller and it selects and displays the chain for that pad automatically. That's some workflow magic. I've requested it before, hopefully they'll add it one day.

Hmm. You wrote the "selected device". Can you do it like it would recognize the VSTi automatically? Just like in Cubase, S1 and so on. I mean, I want to get VSTi open, not the VST effects.nickallen wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 4:42 pmThis will be in 3.2 Beta 2. The "Toggle Device Window" shortcut will now work all the time not just when the device chain is focused. So if you are in the note editor and use it it will work on the current track and current selected device within that track.keel wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 3:31 pmSerious? Option to define shortcut key to open/close the VSTi. Like you are on piano roll and you want to do some changes, hit the key, it will pop up the VSTi gui, hit the key again, it close the gui. No need to jump between the panels all the time. Bitwig support told me that it is already in their to do list, so it will come.. Some day.. Hopefully fast![]()

I think this issue only affects VST2 plugins, and those who do not handle well "variable buffer size".aquilyzer wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 4:49 pmGot the same issue with Xfer serum and also with a VSTfx ArtsAcoustics Reverb.carlca wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 4:43 pm I've just this second sent an email to beta@bitwig.com. I don't know if they'll have a chance to do anything before they knock off for the weekend. I'll post back with any news.
We will disable that change and only run VST2 plugins with constant buffer size as we did before. It will be in the Beta 2.

I believe we could add an additional shortcut which always opens the first instrument on the track, and if there isn't then the first audio effect. We could call it "Toggle Primary Device Window".keel wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:08 pmHmm. You wrote the "selected device". Can you do it like it would recognize the VSTi automatically? That kind of thing is always a best effort, not a perfect solution, yet it will work well 99% of the time.

Yes, super please do that. Only thing what is bothering me on Bitwig, is that I can't get VSTi open with one click and close it on second click. I have got so use to this on S1 and Cubase, that it is super hard to work without it. I have binded that button to my mouse -dpi button, so I can open the VSTi gui under one second. Can't imagine better and faster workflowabique wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:11 pmI believe we could add an additional shortcut which always opens the first instrument on the track, and if there isn't then the first audio effect. EQ+ suggestion : When dragging from lower end to the right, automatically create low-cut band type and vice versa with hi-cut
Also might be cool to create low and high shelf when dragging from low end up/down, and the same from hi-end.

Maybe as per plugin option would be possible, too. Renoise and FLStudio does this.abique wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:09 pm I think this issue only affects VST2 plugins, and those who do not handle well "variable buffer size".
We will disable that change and only run VST2 plugins with constant buffer size as we did before. It will be in the Beta 2.
Would be nice, when we also could open/close a VSTfx window from other channels. Like open a A/B Reference plugin from master channel. This function could be also added to the controller API too, when its missing.nickallen wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 4:42 pm This will be in 3.2 Beta 2. Maybe later, but for now I'll just revert it.aquilyzer wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:35 pmMaybe as per plugin option would be possible, too.
