I love it personally, UVI does a similar thing for some of their plugins. Makes it look magical :hihi:
But I don't think it's any useful on EQ. These rainbows are just redundant decoration, because we already know left is for lows and right for highs. It makes reading the curve slightly difficult so I'm against it.

Saturator sounds amazing on drums.

User files can be renamed within the Browser Panel
killer this is great
Already post that this was my favourite new feature :tu:

I also have to say that Saturator sounds very good indeed, top draw with just a guitar input and a little reverb. I'm looking forward to spending more time with it in the grid ''where polyphony allows each note to be independently shaped for even more sonic possibilities''
per voice saturator! :tu:

I can't try it but the info says it's to build "sonic muscle memory" and it's apparently shared by "20+ Bitwig devices". If it's like I imagine I can see it being useful in a quick glance in time. I'm usually a fan of color coding things but I'd have to try it to see if it makes sense of course.

I am missing something on the Drum Machine returns. How is it used, and how is it different than the DM FX bin?

Hez wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 3:33 pm So, anybody got any clever ideas for the new array module? I feel like there must be a lot of potential but my brain is not playing ball this afternoon :D
it's a signal recorder set length of one phase on the grid device(inspector of the grid device tab phase, length), the possible values can be set with the array size and the resolution with Triggers step count (like during quantization)

if the phase cable is put into the "Write Phase" it gonna record if into the "Read Phase" it gonna playback the recorded signal as on the picture

So i guess we will be able to build a "loopstation"-device with the array module?

This was nice to wake up to! Haven't had a chance to dive into it to deeply yet, but this seems like a pretty neat update and today's a good opportunity.

I gonna record macro movements with it, BWS still doesn't have MSEG modulator ... just need a lovely device around it with record-play buttons :D

So Array can't serve as an MSEG? Seems like a strange shortcoming considering Bitwig's lack of having one.

If it works like I expect it to (unfortunately I can't try it, plan expired) you can run multiple effects in parallel right from Drum Machine and save them with the Drum Machine as a preset. I make these really specific drum kits so it's really useful to have this set up where I can easily move the Drum Machine around with it's built in parallel effects to any project.

Edit: What I can’t tell from the picture antic posted is if there’s a send amount for each pad/sound and a way to rout what gets sent where or if it’s only a return for the whole Drum Machine only which would be meh, kinda disappointing and limited. Could someone check and confirm?
