Gave me the nostalgic feels for Logic 7 :tu:
Yeah, after you mentioned Logic 7 I wanted to see it in action and stumbled upon that video.
Advanced, and bursting with Hi-Tech doodads at the time. Positively utilitarian-looking, now :hihi:
It looks amazing, it's the sweet spot of Logic look for me, resembles quite a lot old eMagic look, but looks like an modern Apple product, sure there are some rough places, but overall, it's the beauty.

For example, I like Cubase 6 look the most, it's where the modern and old meets the best, just like here in Logic 7.

Old men are nostalgic, that's their nature.
Therefore tell us more of the glorious past!

Don't understand this statement, most vendors continued to make plugins after PPC, actually they offered universal binaries up until one point where everything was Intel only, but some vendors kept supporting PPC nonetheless, it's not like PPC plugins died in 2005.

You mean maybe PPC plugin versions were coded little differently or maybe more optimized?
Yeah... or new versions have more oversampling or an improved algorithm or something. Just wondering.

Good points, wondering too.

Gonna disagree that it looks anything like a modern Apple product, but I still have fond memories and would no doubt still enjoy using it if I had to :tu:

Tastes and all that, it was nice improvement over eMagic version for sure for that time. :tu:

Wasn't commenting on taste or against personal preference, just stating that it looks nothing like a modern Apple product

Modern for that time, guess I can't explain myself better, it was enough of an positive change over original look... Tiger opposed to Leopard wasn't looking modern at all at that point either, same as Logic 7 when 8 came out, now Mavericks isn't looking modern opposed to Yosemite and up and same as Logic 8/9 when X came out, but in their respective time it's the different story.

You don't need to explain anything. I'd already made the point about it seeming like the future, at the time, but now seems very basic. So perhaps you didn't mean to talk in the present tense, with, "resembles quite a lot old eMagic look, but looks like an modern Apple product". A simple mistake, really

i really don't like the generally overly-3D bloby design of the era. I know Finale looked like that until few years ago.
everything was a god damn blob.
Microtonic still looks like thaT :(
