Here's a little paper describing the basics about how birds "sing", describe a model of the "components" involved and finishes with a mathlab implementation... https://medium.com/@IckeIlknur/central- ... d09d6936c0severak wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2020 3:43 pm I am thinking about creating special "birdsynthetiser" just for this challenge. Does this comply to rules?
I will release it with my composition (and make it open source as other my synths are) for other to be able to beat me with my own arms.
Actually - this sounds like interesting challenge and great opportunity to code some unusual synth.
That's one interesting question. I doubt that there are rules that can be applied to this. I'd say go for it! You've got the advantage to be (one of) the first to try this in OSC. I guess if something like that happens more frequently in Any One Synth challenges, there will be a statement in the rules that clarifies whether this approach is allowed or not.severak wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2020 3:43 pm I am thinking about creating special "birdsynthetiser" just for this challenge. Uh. This month is 'Any One Synth' so go right ahead. As long as all sounds in your track come from the one-synth (and no samples involved) it should be fine. Also the synth should be made available by the time you post your entry.severak wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2020 3:43 pm I am thinking about creating special "birdsynthetiser" just for this challenge.
