How can I modulate midi CC number

I want to switch between presets in Audiomodern's Riffer step sequencer. In Riffer, each preset is assigned a different midi CC number ie a different controller
But everything I have to modulate CCs assume a specific CC and can happily modulate that CC but not as far as I can tell modulate controller number itself
I think Melda MCCGenerator might be able to but I cant figure out how - or at least I seem to get solutions that work but the dont so they aren't actually solutions.
Any ideas how to do this?

If that plugin is using a different MIDI CC for each preset (which I don't really get), then no luck, there's no MIDI message for such a weirdness. But I may be misunderstanding.

yeah it does and yeah it seems a weird choice. I will ask them about it I think, see what they had in mind when they made that decision. Maybe they can change it in an updateMeldaProduction wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2020 4:11 pm If that plugin is using a different MIDI CC for each preset (which I don't really get), then no luck, there's no MIDI message for such a weirdness. I can get CCGenerator to modulate the CC number internally, I just dont seem to be able to get that out to Riffer as yet.MeldaProduction wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2020 4:11 pm If that plugin is using a different MIDI CC for each preset (which I don't really get), then no luck, there's no MIDI message for such a weirdness. For that I have Mod1 >CC1 (controller) and then use the transformation shape to clamp the values to the range I want. I can see that is working in the CC1Controller window - the CCs change as expected. But that doesnt seem to be sent to Riffer.
On an upnote I can use Reaper automation to modulate the CC number in Cableguys Midishaper - that actually works, but Reaper automation is fairly crude and it seems impossible to control with the accuracy I want. Close but no cigar as yet

SOLVED - well a bit, not quite what I want but close enough until another solution appears. I have each CC number on its own modulator and when the value gets high enough the preset switches on. I think what I would like is something like a sequencer for CC channels and values
But for the moment the extremely good and incredibly cheap MCCGenerator does the trick
