A requirement is unlikely, I would say. My... speculation is that future versions of JUCE will make it very easy to include PACE and there also might be incentives.

That would be my speculation too. PACE probably just looked for a worthwhile purchase, and, JUCE is a popular framework, AFAIC.

The fact that Jules created JUCE, and Tracktion and SOUL would be an fairly obvious explanation for why Waveform supports SOUL.

So the fact that you said that JUCE being sold to PACE is the explanation of why Waveform supports SOUL cant really be supported by that, a completely distinct and separate and non-overlapping explanation.

And given that Jules was never NOT going to know that JUCE was being sold to PACE, Jules' knowledge of JUCE being sold to PACE doesnt really explain any correlation between Waveform (something not being sold to PACE) and SOUL (something also not being sold to PACE)

What you actually need for an explanation of your claim is something which refutes that SOUL wouldnt have gone into Tracktion except for the change of ownership of JUCE.
