dermage wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 6:11 am Was eying with ik crossgrade for 139,but 179 sorry, not for me. These actions are very unfriendly switching prices while a promo is running.
Genuine questions, have Ik switched or was there just confusion surrounding reseller pricing?
It looks like they switched, anyway, it's my impression and it's not a good one.
Where do you see we switched?? I'm sounding like a broken error but again: We have never posted erroneous pricing in any way for this promotion. The list I provided is exactly as has been posted on our site and has been set in our system (by me in both cases) from the beginning fo the promotion. IK switched nothing and the prices in the list are correct and official
You miss the point. Multiple resellers had it at $149 implying that something went wrong with the communication from IK to the resellers. I'd like to know how that happened  Anyhow you can probably not do anything about it, it's just human psychology when something was cheaper that stings little haha (and indeed, you didn't switch prices, the resellers did)
Ah that would indeed not be my department for anything off our site so I'll see if there was a miscommunication and HEADS WILL ROLL! Just kidding, slow burning sensation will likely only ensue, or some mild psychological torture is more likely to be effective then. :x
Exactly, you just get the upset people on here to deal with :hihi: My guess is that someone misunderstood somewhere along the line. Those things happen but it's also understandable that people are a bit upset about that. Personally I was able to get my account location changed to my current location making it a great deal with my JamPoints so I'll get it anyway :phones:

It seems Audio Plugin Deals has a $50 gift certificate I can buy for $30 with rewards cash which should mean I can get Guitar Fury for $99 all in if it works.

Anyone know would this work or would I fall foul of the "certificates may not be used with other promos" rider? Don't want to be stuck with a cert I can't use.
Did it with Xosphere 2 from Sample Logic when they ran a BF deal on it late last year. I encountered no problems. :tu:

The $50 certificate should work for you as long as you don't use another promo code for Guitar Fury. Those that owned Cinematic Guitars product and/or Drum Fury were offered a promo code to bring the price down to $95.99 and the certificate won't work at the same time.

Cheers. Looking forward to it, though I need to clear some crap off my SSD to make room. It's 43 GB!

Are you sure? I think that when I bought Xosphere 2 on sale a while back, I managed to use two coupons successfully - a promo code in the cart and the certificate code at the time of paying. I could be remembering it wrong though!

...and the IK explosion on this thread keeps going. :)

For anyone who got the Kangling and wants more I noticed the Soundiron Aztec Death Whistle is currently 12 dollars, usually 19.
https://soundiron.com/products/aztec-death-whistle
I might get it but I might also just try putting the Kangling sounds into Iris 2 and having at em to see if I can just make the same thing with the tools that I already have.
The Strix stuff in general is also apparently still on sale on KVR. The sale should've ended on the 20th but KVR says they're on sale until the 30th. I might get pripryat pianos although I did notice there's not very many dynamic layers for their Destroyed Six and was somewhat dissapointed so im hoping the pripryat is better. The sound of their stuff is cool and unusual.

While I've had similar success with multiple coupons in the past or a cross-grade with the serial number, I wasn't able to get it to work myself for Guitar Fury.

The guy that owns APD also owns SampleLogic and has generally allowed the use of the APD gift certificates (bought at discount) to be used on sale items.

I have Xosphere and liked it enough to pick up Xosphere 2. Didn't like that so much. SampleLogic's stuff is so-so for me. Not that it is bad or anything. Just not my style. But the company seems fine.

I like the Pripryat much better than the Destroyed Six. But, I don't know how many layers they recorded. I got the impression it is a mix of a number of pianos, so don't expect to play it like a real piano. It is definitely an effect piano. It will go from sounding nice and tuned to totally out of key and worn depending on the settings. There are some really great reverbs too. I wish they would offer a reverb or impulse response library for the area. I would buy it. It is great for atmosphere.

Does anyone understand this "generous" Korg Collection 2" offer where people owning Collection 1 can upgrade for free?
https://www.kvraudio.com/news/korg-rele ... tent=48429

On Korg's website it is stated that: "Users who have already purchased the KORG Collection series can update to version 2 for free."
https://www.korg.com/us/products/softwa ... ollection/

However when I login I get the "generous" offer to add Triton for $149 (Not gonna happend) because I upgraded from Legacy Bundle to get Arp Odyssey.

If you look at the Korg Collection 2 main page the Triton is pictured along the others. But when you login it's like you only get the "old" new versions update with this fantastic 4K GUI resize option.

I can't see this as anything else than a contradiction.

No need to upgrade the license or whatsoever, just use "Korg Software Pass" and update your installations. Done.

This. I think they could have been a bit clearer with this, but it's the individual plugins you can upgrade for free each from version 1.x to version 2.x.
If you look at a 'bundle' upgrade then that's where they quote extra money and costs, but you don't need one if all you want is the UI version upgrade for your existing owned Korg plugins.

Thanks that was a clear explanation.
But I think that's close to false advertisement. First of all it's ridiculous to call a small GUI update for version 2. It should have been named 1.01.

Second when they don't add new synths to the collection but just give an opportunity to get a small discount when owning the collection, they should stop calling this a collection. Then this is just 6-7 different synth that all get a small GUI update. Because you own several synth you get a little discount if a new synth is added to the collection.
