Track not recording at bar one

I can record initial tracks, like drums, but when I try to add new tracks recording doesn't kick in until at least bar 8 or more. There is no exact time it will start recording, varies each time.......help.... This is a new set up.

I can record initial tracks, like drums, but when I try to add additional tracks recording does not start till at least by 8 or 9 and no way to tell when it will kick in this is a new installation of waveform and I am a new user. Help

This doesn't sound like a problem I have seen before, but the one thing that springs to mind is you might have Punch recording turned on by mistake. The hotkey to toggle it is P.

If Punch recording is turned on, Waveform will start to record at the in marker and stop at the out marker.
