er...not sure how to be a bit more precise than..how to add a snare to a rhythm already set up in Mdrummer...
excuse me if I'm missing something, I'm new to Mdrummer
I have a song set out in the song section and would like to beef up the snare with either a new snare or add to the snare that is already there,
thank you for your answer..

Say you have in Rhythm Editor a Snare Drum 1 track. Snare drum 1 is a Drum Type. You can assign any drum you like to that Drum type in the Drumset Editor.
In the Drumset Editor click on Snare drum 1 in the DRUM LIST, then choose a sample in the LAYER SOURCE browser.

If you want to add a snare (such that two snares are playing the same pattern) you can just add another layer in VELOCITY LAYERS (and choose a sample for it) and set each layer to have the same velocity range (0-100%) and the mode to 'All'. The little play triangle above the layer rows plays the selected layer only, but the speaker symbol over on the left plays the blend.
