How does one set the range of control for a parameter being controlled by a midi controller in the repro synths? Simple example, using a continuous foot pedal to control filter cutoff.
Ideally, I would set the bottom and top of the range on the cutoff knob/parameter (the points that pedal 0 and pedal 127 would set the parameter to). Less ideal, but workable, would be that the midi controller would "add" to the current parameter's knob setting, at a certain percent. So the parameter setting itself would be the bottom of the range, and the setting plus the percentage would imply the top of the range. I can imagine some sort of mulitplying would work too (midi controller determines fractional/percentage multiplier). For clarity, the first way is more obvious to my head since the top and bottom of the parameter range are what I am really getting at, but as of now I may be missing something because I can't find any way at all to do anything other than just assign the controller and be done with it.
I wouldn't be surprised if I just missed something in manual...
Thanks.

Depending on the MIDI controller you have, you might be able to limit the range in the controller itself. E.g. in the Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol keyboards, you can define the range for each controller. But this wouldn't be a very flexible solution.
It might also be possible to do this in some hosts, if they have some sort of MIDI controller mapping feature.
The only way to kind of limit the range directly in the plugin would be to assign your foot pedal to Control A or B, then assign this to the parameter you want to control via the mod matrix. Then you can set the range by setting the parameter to the starting value, and you control the range with the modulation amount.

Tasmanian, it looks like you're with U-he, so I assume this is "official confirmation"? If so, bummer, but thanks. And in that case, this would be a really really useful feature to have for any controller mapping! And in case I didn't mention it already, it would be really useful. The mod matrix option is a decent workaround in specific cases where the mod slots aren't already being used.
Thanks...

This request hasn't really come up very often afair, but I'll add it to our improvement requests, if it isn't already there. Can't promise anything, though.
