could someone explain, or make a video on how to use the chord companion? i also use reason 11 suite and the chord player is very easy and intuitive, but i can't seem to get my head around this.(i'm a guitar player, so i need all the help i can get for keyboards! lol!)

I have only checked it out briefly (and found it mystifying at first) but I would say there are two very important and un-intuitive things you need to know to get started, apart from the obvious need to have a VST synth directly after the Chord Companion if you want to make any sound happen.
1. Those little blue dots on the left are the suggested chords and you must drag one onto a pad to turn the pad into a playable chord.
2. At the bottom right is a "Follow Host Key" button and if it's on it will change anything you do that doesn't match the host key. (The host key is set in the transport panel with BPM and time signature.)
Where you see information like E2(40) and F2(41) at the top of the pad, that's the corresponding MIDI note you use to trigger the pad. Once you have a chord associated with a pas, the chord name will display under it.
I haven't done any experimentation beyond that. I hope this helps!

Surely there must be consensus by now...
