"Interesting" is the correct word indeed!
Y'all should hear the samples they've made, we're living the future alright.

My conclusion: this AI is trained with cassette tapes dug up from the side of the road.

Also, don't forget about the passion, desire, love and all the gushy stuff that comes from human emotion that is translated into music.

Listen to a room full of humans playing orchestra instruments, then try to mimic that with a computer or robot. Some things may be technically the same, but are emotionally different.

Because humans play, compose and consume music through emotions.
Yes, but on the other hand you've top chart music sounds that truly sounds so predictably derivative that it might as well have been made by an algorithm (or a swede). It's so bad you've even got singers that mimic auto-tune artifacts because pitch correction is so prevalent.

Humans are redundant and will be eliminated. :borg:

The tools are getting better and better, so more and more people can create more music in shorter time. However, as the quality of tools increases, is overshadows capabilities of human music producer. It doesn't matter much what skills or experience does one have (o doesn't), tools (synths, presets and sample packs, AI-assisted tools) can make veryone sound decent, at least.

On the other side, there are no more humans ready to consume that amount of music, or care much about cutting-edge quality of music anyway.

This type of chickenlittleism always forgets that we can easily stop this by not doing it. People like to make music. People like to fight. Did Robot Wars stop people from fighting?

Also, I heard some news program where they interviewed about a DJ about his posting his live mixes during the quarantine. They played a bit of it that was literally Prince’s Computer Blue switching to another Prince song. The real issue isn’t that computers will make our music for us, but why we’re OK with letting musicians make music for non-musicians to call their music. What a f’n waste of space.

Let's not overlook the invasion of AI in lyrics!

Lyric phrases for AI Songs:

Before:

Yeah baby
Come on up now
I love you
Come over here
I reach for you
Feel it
Forever

After:

Put the lid down
Dope
I feel the darkness
The heat
Since you left me
I cry
It’s over
