No need to be sorry. You're free to your opinions. Many things depend on the ways you view something (glass half empty / half full) Though I'd suggest, if you think what I said was somehow "wrong" (as your reply somewhat implies) it suggests a limitation, specifically in your understanding of how others might see things differently - without necessarily requiring that they be "wrong".

In this case, that licenses which have some temporary basis (which is what non-perpetual C/R is) is not "really" ownership of a license, but (effectively) a rental period, the length of which is defined by your ability to activate.

If you view it differently perhaps you can find a few threads, on this forum, where you can console those, no longer able to activate what they paid for, with your views. I'm sure they will be receptive :)
Anyway, what I actually wanted to say above is that some will never be satisfied. No matter what NI or anyone else does.
Why make so many assumptions? Even if you assume some people can never be satiated, that doesn't necessarily negate valid issues they may have, just because they may not be viewed as issues by you personally! Even if someone will never be happy about something, there is still some value in making them less unhappy, where possible, don't you think? :)

Torrents and demo mode. Genius.
There are two kinds of people in the world. And you're not one of them.

Well yeah, that is legitimate in a number of countries around the world in a particular situation where you've been restricted from legally accessing your digital purchase. It's not really genius, it's just law. Why shoot the messenger then

Really. And where did you restrict your suggestion to those countries?
And it’s not relevant that it’s legal for personal use in a handful of countries. Torrents, by it’s nature, is sharing with others, unless you do it privately with full control. It’s also a huge security issue.

But I guess everyone should settle for demo mode, and not issue their complaints in forums like this, which lead to a solution most people seem to be happy with.

It’s a stupid suggestion any way you try to spin it.

Some might disagree either way. Whatever.

I cant believe 'Bandstand' (of all things!) and a bunch of other old NI software from decades ago have now appeared in Native Installer!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Yes. For me Intakt, Kompakt and all my Zero- G, EastWest and BestService Libs are there.

Good non-answer.
Own up to it instead.

I’m done.

I ran NA and now many things that I had problems running on my system (vokator, Kontakt 2, b4II, electrik piano, acoustik piano, pro 53 and others) along with everything else runs perfectly. I’m curious as to whether it would work if I did a system update to win 10. I’m excited though about all this stuff working now though.

Not so long ago I was able to install and authorize B4 II through Service Center but I changed my hardware (I am running Windows 10 pro) and now I can't get it activated.

Can someone explain how to activate B4 II with Native Acces now?
I have installed the plugin on my system and both Native Access and Service Center can see the plugin.
In Service Center it shows as activated but nevertherless the plugin and the stand alone version can only run in demo mode.
Trying to authorize the stand alone version or the plugin opens the Service Center ... but as previously stated B4 II is already authorized!

I have asked NI but the answer may take some time.

Thanks for your suggestion but I already did this and it does not help.

But I have now found what was wrong!
In Service Center the plugin was activated with an old System-ID
I deleted this old system-ID then reactivated the plugin with the serial and now it is working.

But I had to do this with Service Center and not Native Access.

It would work, yep.

Spiffy ED. I had a big problem the last time I did a system update getting all of my older NI sorftware to activate. It seemed pretty random, but I have pretty much everything running now. I would hate to break any of these old activations somehow. Might do a practice run on my mobile rig or maybe I’ll build the PT editing station that I have meant to build for ages and test it there.
