Wet = volume of noise.

Dry = volume of whatever soundsource, if any, is inserted before MNoiseGenerator in the FX chain.

Did that help? If not post some more details on DAW, OS and if you're using VST2 or VST3 or some other format and someone more knowledgable might be able to figure out what went wrong.

GS, thank you for responding. I did figure out a "fix." I had to place some empty audio on the track to get MNG to have any output, not what I was expecting from a "generator." The native one in LPX just automatically spits out noise, but can't be used in MXXX. There's nothing in the docs that makes much sense, to me at least...Cheers!.../s~

I suspect that may be a challenge with your DAW, not with MNoiseGenerator. In Reaper I don't have to insert any sort of empty audio to make it work. This is probably a "feature" of your DAW to prevent wasting resources processing literarily nothing as MNoiseGenerator is seen as an FX plugin (as MXXX also is).

Yeah, documentation can frankly be challenging to make sense of at times, I've long since learnt to deal with that as so many of the MeldaProduction plugins are unique and flexible enough to make it well worth the effort, especially when setting up my own thing in MXXX. Often we do our best to help each other out here in the forums when needed. ;-)

It is a "feature" of lpx, one amongst many, to be sure. And, other than melodyne, I use only Melda these days, been that way for several years actually...and thanx again!.../s~

i use the MNoiseGenerator on a FX channel, reaper does have FX channels? in a way not, because ... well
i used it only in cubase.

but in reaper it does work, simply choose, add track, and choose MNoiseGenerator... the noise will come

It's all a weird rather dysfunctional Logic's optimization - it assumes an FX can never generate an output until you send something to it... usually true, but not always :)
