I admit that i made misstakes in the past when the company was still young. I apologize for it and I have learned from it. I fixed and changed things - many of them already years ago.
Since this year the copy protection is a keyfile only or has been completely removed to make sure that older products continue to work for a long time in the future.
I listen to the customers a lot and take feedback seriously. I regularly release big and free updates which can be downloaded here:

Your free updates really are insanely valuable. Nothing but good things to say about Tone2. I been with yah since beta testing Firebird.

Absolutely no need to apologize. Show me a person who has never made a mistake. You won´t find anyone, believe me.
You deserve the highest praise and respect for your Icarus 2 approach. I mean, the way you integrated the whole KVR community into the update process.
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never had a problem with my Tone2 products. I contacted support (Troels and Bastian) two or three times and received friendly and helpful answers. So, I have only good things to say about your company, Markus :tu:

No need to apologize. Absolutely none.

Markus, there are some developers out there who do have reasons to apologise to their customers, but you are definitely not one of them.

Great products and support, no apology needed here!

Well, if you'd like to be ruthless then I've plenty of ruthlessness in reserve. Just give me a call if you do want some more 😊

Many years ago I wasn't so thrilled about Tone2, but last few years I really liked the products and support and I completely changed my attitude :) I have two synths only though. I have another two on my list and I'm not into modern dance music!! But I'm into old Disco :hihi: Anyway, great products and very innovative methods to sound generation! Really from the very few that looking to explore new synthesis
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

@emp: that's a five year year old topic, not sure you can beat them over the head with that unless you have proof it's still the case (sounds not going by Markus' first post...)

The issue I have with that is that more or less every installers search for files, and deletes them in the process, e.g. when updating a previous version.

Is that a "hunter-killer" process then? (What is that anyway? Sounds vicious. :) Gotta love such esoteric emotional fabrications.)

Anyway, this is not the place for such discussions I assume. I had a talk with a relative earlier, by the way. About the new age of "vulnerability". And, we agreed that, back in the days, we simply refrained from buying products from a company, if we had some serious issues with them or their products. Nowadays it seems like loads of people are offended if one edge of their iPhone doesn't fit them, though. It's the new age of vulnerability. We're all so hurt, by everyone and everything. Nice times to live in.
