It takes a big person to admit mistakes and make changes. Almost Everybody deserves a second chance so I will now consider purchasing Tone 2 products again.![]()

You have really courage!
I'm often very critical with VST developers, because some of them are thinking, they can do, what they want, and are arrogant and treat their customers like idiots. And that provokes me all the more.
But if a developer like you posts his apologies in a big forum, I have really much respect!

el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: Mon May 04, 2020 11:15 am I think the apology was absolutely necessary! It's not for the current customers, who seem to generally be very happy with their products, but for people like me, who have watched controversy follow this developer for over a decade, and have sworn to keep well away.
It's not that people shouldn't be allowed to make mistakes, but when there's no acknowledgment of mistakes all trust disappears.
Acknowledgment, apology and reparation are all ways to rebuild that trust. It may not end up with a huge amount of new set of customers, but it'll hopefully stop these issues being reopened like fresh wounds every time a 'developers to avoid' thread turns up
