Sample rate issues with inputs and outputs

When trying to add my mic as an input and the internal headphone jack as an output it wont accept the different sample rate but also wont let me change it. Any advice is appreciated

I think you will need to give us some more information to go on. Are you using ASIO? Directsound? Do you have an external audio device? Which device? What's your OS? Which version of Waveform are you using?
Surely there must be consensus by now...

You might also want to change your username so that spammers can't as easily scrape your email address off the page.
The sample rate is generally set in your hardware settings or in the properties in the OS. On the Mac, for some interfaces which do not provide custom control panel software, this would be set in Applications -> Utilities -> Audio MIDI Setup; this would include the built-in outputs (such as the headphone jack).
