DAW under 400e with audio record + pianoroll + "good" instruments? Not only for beginner!

The vocal recording was MUCH easier in Reaper than in FL Studio.
I have the pen tool but I still need to click 2 time before the note comes to piano roll. I will try to read some short cut info later for this.

Mike Oldfield uses Logic, BT mostly uses Logic and Live, thing is FL guys send a copy to someone and he writes back about it and they put them in their user base and quote their response, look at that list, Steve Duda and Deadmau5 are die hard Live users...JollyBoih wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 2:24 pmBT!!? I agree. I don’t like that Logic theme for Reaper at all.thecontrolcentre wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 2:27 pmHow anyone can think that is beyond me. That looks hideous to me ...

I bet he also used several others.
Truth is... He can use WHATEVER fits him in "that" moment, for "that" task. Basing your choices on what someone uses, no matter how famous he/she is, is plainly stupid.
BTW... Wendy Carlos uses Digital Performer
Hans Zimmer uses Cubase (and Pro Tools?) and...

I saw him in studio with Logic few years ago, there's sites like equipboard too, so make up your own mind.fmr wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 2:41 pmSo, one says Mike Oldfield uses FL Studio. Agree, but we aren't discussing that at all, so don't know why are you getting in the middle of it at all.Truth is... He can use WHATEVER fits him in "that" moment, for "that" task. Basing your choices on what someone uses, no matter how famous he is, is plainly stupid.

And what are "we" discussing, exactly? ... Oh yes:Passing Bye wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 2:44 pmAgree, but we aren't discussing that at all, so don't know why are you getting in the middle of it at all.fmr wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 2:41 pm Truth is... "DAW under 400e with audio record + pianoroll + "good" instruments? Not only for beginner!"
So, NOT who uses what, I think... That's totally and completely IRRELEVANT.

This all started with nonsense that FL is used by majority of EDM artist and that simply isn't true, it's used, but far less than user that claimed can accept, even his own DJ Mag list he was relying on proves otherwise, being sent an copy of FL doesn't make one a user, but it's enough to get them on official site to prove FL is serious tool, there's guys using it successfully, it's capable tool and that's it, it's not EDM de facto DAW, far away from it.

Just out of curiosity, I visited that site you pointed to...Passing Bye wrote: Fri May 08, 2020 2:44 pm ...there's sites like equipboard too, so make up your own mind.
It says MO uses Logic Pro 7, Absynth 3, FM7, Hypersonic and Atmosphere...
I bet he is still using a Power Mac G5, and macOS 10.4.x
And... surprise, surprise: Look what's in here: https://equipboard.com/pros/mike-oldfield/#daws
I rest my case.

What case, you have no clue what we are even talking about, you just popped in and started moving discussion in different direction, nobody even said anything to you or you have argument with anyone, you are debating with yourself really.

Maybe Mulab is a good choice - https://www.mutools.com/mulab-product.html and i do own and use FL studio but i honestly think that Mulab is a good alternative if you are on a low budget.
