This is a bit of a mystery. I also asked the exact same question some time ago as it seems to be quite an intuitive thing do, to copy a pattern (of any number of bars) elsewhere.
But it's a mystery. Some kind of an Achille's heel.
I'd have thought that the 'larger' copy would've done it easily. I mean, it's there and it oversees the contents of bars that are under a note. It seems so obvious:
But that copies nothing as far as patterns/bars re concerned.
What I do then, which is better than nothing, is to manually copy every bar to a new note, bar by bar, using the bar-local copy function. After copying the first bar under note C, here's the paste operation in note D:
Then I'd go back to note C, copy the second bar, go back to note D, add a bar by clicking on the right arrow, then copy the 2nd pattern. So on so forth.
There can be a lot of bars of patterns under a single note. There's a zoom slider bottom right, and a regular slider below the patterns.
It's nevertheless a mystery that there's no way to copy all patterns/bars under one note easily in one operation.

Well, thanks a lot.
"It's nevertheless a mystery that there's no way to copy all patterns/bars under one note easily in one operation."
Youp. MDrummer is really a fantastic device, but this is really incredible. Perhaps they read about it.

Well, rather than copy/paste you can save a loop (of any number of bars) then load it to another key.blommberg wrote: Tue Apr 28, 2020 8:46 am Well, thanks a lot.

What I don't get is that the 'high level' copy as shown in the first screenshot above does not do the job. As the other icons besides it, it 'oversees' so to speak the data domain of the full pattern. What does that copy copies actually ?

The 'high level' copies selected notes. The 'low level' copies all the notes regardless of selecion.mevla wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2020 12:09 am What I don't get is that the 'high level' copy as shown in the first screenshot above does not do the job. It would be good to be able to copy/paste not just the loop you can see in the editor but all the variations in the Loop index list (if any) for that loopbox (key) ..the whole loopbox shebang.
The GENERATOR engine of course is designed to do all this for you. It looks at a bunch of loops you point it to and then can populate many (or all) of the keys using the 'level' (complexity) info in the loop files and seed/randomization stuff. But being able to easily copy/paste loopboxes then manually edit them would be a worthwhile option.

And so THERE IS a copy from one note to another, eg.copying the full loop that's under note C-1 to D-1. What was missing was the selection of the notes.
1) Select all notes in the loop under note C-1. if needed zoom out so that all notes are seen. Press the 'main' copy icon (not the one immediately above a bar, but the one above all bars).
2) Go to note D-1, add the required number of bars to receive all notes then press the 'main' paste icon.

Yes, that looks the way to do it. Just have to be careful where you put the cursor in the destination.mevla wrote: Sun May 03, 2020 9:24 pm And so THERE IS a copy from one note to another, eg.copying the full loop that's under note C-1 to D-1. What was missing was the selection of the notes.

Agreed, I would really like this function – ie. being able to copy all the beats within a note on the keyboard in the Rhythm Editor – including all the variations (ie. the ones named 1,2,3,4 etc that are selected by velocity, to the right of the keyboard).goldglob wrote: Wed Apr 29, 2020 12:31 am It would be good to be able to copy/paste not just the loop you can see in the editor but all the variations in the Loop index list (if any) for that loopbox (key) ..the whole loopbox shebang.
Or to be able to save them. The current save function only saves the selected beat within a note on the keyboard, not the variations.
