i had to go back to my mac.(pc took a big dump!) and was wondering what command on a mac is used to open/close the properties panel. f11 worked on pc but not on mac. second question is can i use a marker to change the key to part of a song? thank you in advance.

Settings -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> View -> Toggle between the controls panel and compact toolbar

This does default to F11 but is obviously being blocked by the OS using F11 for "Show Desktop" in mission control.

You can either change the shortcut in Waveform to something other than F11, or change the shortcut used by macOS (System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Mission Control -> Show Desktop).
