mute/solo issue with w11

i'm on a mac high sierra os when i hit the solo for a track it doesn't solo it. works fine on pc but my pc took a dump and i'm back on a mac. any ideas?

Can you post a screen shot or even better a short video of what happens when you press a solo button?
In what way does it fail?

To capture a screenshot on a Mac:

Command + Shift + 3 = entire screen
Command + Shift + 4 = drag a rectangle to capture part of the screen, or follow with spacebar then click on a window to capture that window

Either of these will place a file on the desktop; to capture to the clipboard instead, add Control as well.

If you're on a Mac just search for the "Screenshot" application, it's very easy to use.
