Yes Logic is one of those updates where everyone is excited for two weeks messing with the features. Then you get bored, and then just wait for another update for Logic to get you inspired again. Sadly, that will be the only update you get a long long while from them.starflakeprj wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 5:49 pm No, you just can't come here talking about Logic 10.5 the way GNXT did!!!
Just kidding, latest update really looks good. I'm not on a Mac though, so I will never test it. Well, my work computer is a Mac, but I hate it thoroughly
On topic, I really hope we'll see Studio One 5 soon, but I don't really know what to expect in terms of new features. I've heard that Cubase have really good MIDI features (no experience myself though), but what is Studio One missing that Cubase has?

That's a hell of an update for Logic I'd like to see what Presonus has planned now after seeing that.

Consider Studio One's updates never were groundbreaking, I think version 5 won't be groundbreaking as well.trusampler wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 4:13 pm That's a hell of an update for Logic I'd like to see what Presonus has planned now after seeing that.
I don't need groundbreaking anyway.

Yes it is, and I expect the excitement to last a week or two before people are unmotivated again.trusampler wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 4:13 pm That's a hell of an update for Logic I'd like to see what Presonus has planned now after seeing that.

That's plenty of features to keep logic users busy for a long time. I'd love to see some of these features implemented in Studio one.

I did last time (Studio One 4). I'll probably wait a bit this time though, and get the upgrade when it's available for 40-50 % off. Unless Presonus considers the normal upgrade price. IMO, the updates are too expensive. It's almost 50 % of the new price of the "full" product.rmacattack wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 4:54 pmYou still buy the updates anyway correct?chk071 wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 4:44 pmConsider Studio One's updates never were groundbreaking, I think version 5 won't be groundbreaking as well.trusampler wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 4:13 pm That's a hell of an update for Logic I'd like to see what Presonus has planned now after seeing that.

Technically they should, but I've no idea. Ask Presonus.

Has Presonus actually mentioned that there's an update coming out soon? Or is this just speculation based on their past releases?

Presonus like their teasers, so you can be pretty sure there is nothing imminent until you see one!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Did they have sales within the grace period last time?antic604 wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 5:37 pmTechnically they should, but I've no idea. Ask Presonus.

Few pages back - 2 weeks ago? - a poster (@fairlyclose I think) wanted to get a license 2nd hand, but upon contacting Presonus decided to get it from their webshop instead and he very explicitly made a point of this decision. I asked if this has something to do with possible grace period and he implicitly confirmed it. Next, there was a guy claiming he knows exactly what's in v5 and it sounded pretty reasonable, especially upgrades to 28 (or so) native devices, that indeed still have the pre-v3 GUIs. Lastly their past release schedule suggest big and x.5 releases to be happening in late May.trusampler wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 6:06 pmHas Presonus actually mentioned that there's an update coming out soon? That's all we - myself, at least - know

You really expect me to do the job for you? Use Google and find out yourself. From the way it looks they have sales few times a year, I'd even say most of the yearcanadianlight wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 7:11 pm Did they have sales within the grace period last time?
