Hi,
I was thinking about Msoundfactory player and I found that it is a really useful thing to have! It enables us to share projects with everyone very quickly and easily!
Recently I've started to dig a little deeper into MXXX and I wanted to do the same. I've seen that in the core version, that users can't open a product that contain an effect that they don't own. In a way I understand why but is a MXXX player, where user will not have access to the edit screen, is something that we could hope for?
I also understand that it will certainly require to change the functionality of MXXX core so I'm asking just in case it was possible.

I think the issue lies in the potential for users to export the existing modules as free "devices". At that point it would defeat the purpose of MXXX. MSF makes sense as you can't use the individual pieces separate from the generator (meaning there's no audio input) but because MXXX has audio input, it'd be too easy to exploit the insides as devices and render the full package pointless.

Best we can do, AFAIK, is to load samples of any- and everything wanted MXXX FX on to into MSF. Quite long ones are possible…so this is potentially very powerful.

Maybe it would be possible to let alone develope with the most simple and free basic modules? So nobody would set free the melda beasts but some freaky new ones. But I guess he wanted to outsource developement for Midi-Machines in a way, so that MSF will become famous.
I would love to be able to create vsts or effects for a MXXX player. Would be cool if there was kind of a shop for lowpriced MXXXX created effects. My creations will never look professional enough to be sold via United plugins, but a site where Vojtech still has the last vote who is on and off and earns a percentage of the sellings would be interesting, wouldn't it? Like an app/play store?
