Patchwork VST3 issues

It seems that VST3 isn't as glitchfree as VST2 in Patchwork (only tested in Standalone).
For example Softube Tsar vst3 (newest version) doesn't leave any audio through, vst2 works.
The vst3 version of the Eventide Tverb trial crashes repeatedly after about 5 minutes of use (doesn't do that in cubase 10.5). Haven't tried the vst2 version of that....

Unfortunately VST3 is not as glitch free as VST2 everywhere (hosts and plug-ins), that's why we recommend using VST2 whenever you can. The first reason is that VST2 has been around for many more years, and the second one is that they introduced a lot of not-so-well defined behaviors with VST3.
We'll check out these particular plug-ins, but if they have a VST2 version available, it is definitely recommended to use them instead.
By the way are you using PatchWork as an application or a plug-in?

Using vst2 at the moment is not a problem, but I think about the day when the companies stop releasing vst2 plugins....

Well, many VST3s plug-ins and hosts are working properly, it will just take time for compatibility to be improved on both sides.

You should maybe report the problem to the manufacturer of the plug-in: it is likely that they have a bug here.
