Hi Alexis, Urs might have said next year first quarter, but there were never any plans to have an update early this year, must have been a misunderstanding.alexishere wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 9:20 am I thought I read somewhere the new hive 2.x update would be within the first quarter of the year..? Thanks for the reply, any idea around when it would be out? Or any hints about what’s being updated? The unshushable Coktor wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 9:47 amHi Alexis, Urs might have said next year first quarter, but there were never any plans to have an update early this year, must have been a misunderstanding.alexishere wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 9:20 am I thought I read somewhere the new hive 2.x update would be within the first quarter of the year..? We've made many plans last year, and we're generally well structured. But like supposedly everybody else in this world right now we had to adjust our ourselves, look after our families and find new ways of keeping daily business routines going. Everybody's doing fine, work gets done, but at the moment we're cautious at giving precise release dates or info on stuff that isn't sufficiently implemented.
But stay tuned for announcements or public betas, this will take place as usual when the time is right.

The improvements in Hive were made on behalf of a large music project. We were hoping to gain momentum for Hive when the information about this project becomes publicly available and we could talk about its use. Unfortunately this hasn't happened yet and obviously it's delayed further due to the corona virus pandemic.alexishere wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 9:20 am I thought I read somewhere the new hive 2.x update would be within the first quarter of the year..? But as long as it isn't public knowledge, we would break NDAs by saying who we did it for and why.
It would be a pity if we released Hive 2.1 "as is" without being able to mention the back story since we put considerable time, money and effort into it, including the right to distribute "the original soundset of [something cool]".

Thanks sacha and urs, much appreciated! I assume it’s film-score related production given the history of releases but still exciting! (I’m hottest 100 type of music based) I just hope it comes out this year.

I don't think HZ scoring Dune is a secret anymore. Hint: While it's not a HZ project, I'll neither confirm nor deny.

Great to read this. I hope we can expect a Hive 2 update soon. I wish to purchase a license but I would be all over it if this is true.Urs wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 11:30 amThe improvements in Hive were made on behalf of a large music project.
