You have no idea how many times I wanted this. Especially with envelopes and filters, so hard to get a nice snappy envelope in some engines! Best to actually email them as a feature request, rather than post here. I did a long time agoclaudedefaren wrote: Fri May 15, 2020 8:02 pm
3. Synth Engine Clean/Normal/Dirty modes — the ability to choose a blend (in a sort of matrix layout) so that different modes can be active for different aspects of the synth. For example, the ability to have Clean's Unison Detune math, Dirty's Envelope stages, and Normal's filter all at once.

That has been in Hive since earliest stages. We use the shape of a fermata as icon for a step tied to the next.claudedefaren wrote: Fri May 15, 2020 8:02 pm2. Note-Tie for the Sequencer (just a thing you can tick on or off per step that ties the note over to the next step)

MIDI output so ARP/sequencer events can be recorded and replayed as MIDI .. it's difficult to recreate an ARP at different tempos for example, but having the MIDI events would make this reliable, right? (at least most of the way there..)

Would love to see presets for individual fx section with arrows to sweep through the options would be blazing fast.

Urs replied in one of threads we could have this in future. So far this is one of most favorite if not the most favorite request for Hive.alexishere wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 9:16 am You have no idea how many times I wanted this. I wish so much I could snap these lines to the grid in the background. Every night I wake up because of a nightmare, in which those lines are not aligned perfectly

FX Presets browser is needed.
Problem that U-he has 20 and some banks have more -- it's hard to browse in pulldown menu.
Unlike wavetables FX Presets have no subfolders too

I'll start by saying that Hive is damn near perfect and is currently the most used synth in my toolbox, however I think that it would still benefit from a few QoL tweaks. I'd like to see the following added at some point in the near future:
MIDI out: this is a testament to how good/fun the sequencer is in Hive, especially being able to modulate the Steps parameter and it would be killer to be able to capture all of this, so phrases/ideas can easily be ported to other parts of the track. I could easily see myself generating all/many of the main ideas in a track straight out of the sequencer, especially with the Scale Quantize in play to create variations via LFO or Ctrl A etc.
Level controls for FX modules: this has been a pet peeve of mine for a while and with the latest Serum update adding these in and my enjoying the benefits, it's even more frustrating that Hive doesn't have something similar in place. I would settle for an output trim on the Distortion only, so I can easily check if I'm making a sound better/fatter and not just louder. My current workaround is to use the compressor, with no gain reduction and tweak the output pot, however in some cases, i.e psytrance bass, it adds some unwanted (what sounds like) phase distortion/colouration and thus cannot be used.
Q control for EQ: ideally a global Q trim in the module itself and independent control of each band via "hidden" destinations in the mod matrix or just the mid band if it's too much work for all 3. It would be nice to be able to eliminate resonances at the patch level and the current fixed Q setting, is a bit too broad meaning you cut a lot of good information as well as the nasty peak.
Matrix C or modifiers via right-click on fixed UI routings: I found myself running out of slots too quickly these days and would love an additional 12 slots OR access to the matrix modifiers via right-click menu for the direct routings i.e. Filter 1 LFO . Filters are everything in a VA and I want to have maximum amount of control and flexibility and since the only way to access these tools is via the matrix, I almost never use the direct routing knobs. As it stands they basically just clutter the UI and upset me whenever I run out of slots (which happens more and more as I dive deeper in sound design with Hive). Since a third page and or right-click menu system would be entirely optional, they wouldn't get in the way for those not in need of them i.e Hive's core workflow would remain the same, just extended.
